Awesome! The Tweet woke me up this morning, I thought it was a dream for a minute.

I'm terrible at rockband! but I might actually learn to play it now.

yes, I was saying the same thing as you are about "Good Riddance". It's a GREAT and FAMOUS track, but just like a song like The Smashing Pumpkins "1979" it would likely be completely un-fun to do anything but Sing in. It'd be a nice song to feature in the credits after a really hard ending song (HOMECOMING plz, or at least JOS)

I believe (this is MY opinion) that since Green Day has admitted that they are the Hot Tubs they will DEFINITELY include "Stop, Drop, & Roll" along with a 2nd song.

Whereas they will likely treat these like "Green Day" songs.

I believe they will also include ONE The Network song (I'd love Teenagers from Mars, but that's a cover, so they'd probably put an original in, so here's to ROSHAMBO) but that they will treat The Network like another band. Hopefully prompting more people to go research them. lol

I understand that RB: The Beatles was ALL The Beatles tracks, but I don't believe RB:Green Day will be (not that I'd complain)

I see it as the best opportunity anyone has to make "Plastic Controller Hero: Punk"

I think we can expect to see THE CLASH, BAD RELIGION, SOCIAL DISTORTION, BLINK-182, THE RAMONES etc in the game, also Green Day has done 2 The Who covers, so either one of those tracks or the original versions of either MY GENERATION (which is the better fitting song) or A QUICK ONE ... (which would honestly be the 3rd sickest song for the game after Homecoming and Jesus of Suburbia)

I doubt they'll have ANY trouble including THE SAINTS ARE COMING - yes, it's a cover, but it's a cover that brought more attention to the original than it would have ever recieved with No Cover. I would not be surprised to see either "The Saints are Coming, Live in New Orleans with U2" or "The Saints are Coming with U2" on the tracklist.

I said "Working Class Hero" is doubtful because Apple (does Apple own Lennon's music or just the that of The Beatles?) doesn't like liscensing their music... unless it's to create Rock Band: The Beatles.

which did indeed come with the option to purchase it with additional, new plastic instruments....

so I don't believe that a "Blue" controller or an AI Logo Drum Set is that Farfetch'd .... although, Honestly, the ONE lone thing I prefer about Guitar Hero to Rock Band is the workmanship, feel, and weight of their (Guitar) controllers (I almost never Drum and Mics are the same), the Rock Band equipment is unweildy. So I will likeley pick up RB:Green Day brand new (it'll be $60.00 across the board [even on Wii, a traditionally $50 game system], as The Beatles' game was) but only in the disc-only format. Whereas I'll probably only pick up a special Guitar once I can find a cheap, used one at GameStop, as it'll be doing a lot of dust-collecting and not much playing. then again, it'll probably be like The Beatles where any body can play any instrument!

Finally. To clear up some confusion...

All Rock Band games are fully compatible with each other, so any Original Rock Band, Rock Band 2, Rock Band: The Beatles, or Rock Band: Green Day instruments will work with one another. So if you buy Rock Band: Green Day with instruments you can play Rock Band 2 with those same instruments. And if you already own Rock Band 2, you need only buy the Rock Band: Green Day disc...

Likewise, the Guitar Hero franchise is almost completely compatible. All Guitar Hero controllers from Guitar Hero III onward ("World Tour", Aerosmith, Metallica, 5, Smash Hits, Band Hero) will work in/with Rock Band games. aka ONLY Guitar Hero I and II guitars wont work...

Likewise, Rock Band 2, Rock Band: The Beatles (and likely RB:GD) instruments work with all Guitar Heroes from "World Tour" onward.

There IS Rock Band on PSP - it's surprisingly good! - however it's a special title, just like Guitar Hero on DS and doesn't see the regular releases of the Rock Band Console games. Unless something really weird happens there will NOT be a PSP Rock Band: Green Day.

I really, really want to get this game, however... my step dad still won't let me use his XBOX 360... I'm the only one in the family that doesn't get to play it and I'm really pissed off about that. I can't really afford to be paying out over £250 for both a new console and the band bundle when it's released next year.. Well peeved, so I can't really be TOO excited about it.

its going to be censored, they would lose incredible amount of sales and backlash -harmonix, they just laid off people- with explicit curses

like the list that i posted, its pretty much going to be songs that are non curses or already censored songs, so dont be hoping for platypus' solo curseout, unless you want to deal with guitar hero: smash hit's "killing in the name of" -if no one knows what im talking about but knows the song, look it up on youtube, its a joke-

it may be on the same platform as lego rock band in terms of features, but people arent thinking its going to be the same as the beatles in terms of like gameplay wise

dookie, american idiot, international superhits or 21cb are the most likely for a later full album download because of popularity in our generation

its just going to be pure green day songs, dont expect any other bands -we could still wish for the tubbies- and dont be hopeful for any covers

if its like the beatles in terms of bull blown coverage, most likely, a blue replica and a mike bass replica are likely, and some sort of 12cb logo bass drum cover saying GREEN DAY, that set will go for about 250 bucks, a special edition which is just regular rock band 1 instruments and the game will go for about 150, the solo instruments for 100 -blue and bass-

and yes, gh2 explorer controllers do work

I think if the have full albums as download content they should put out Bullet in a Bible.

I can see two versions, one being T and one being M. But then again I was happy with International Supervideos and that was edited.

I would love to hear The Grouch edited tho. Be almost as funny as listening to ICP's Fuck the World edited(it does exist, has Fuck over 90 times, very funny)

On the Youtube trailer(44 seconds long) pause it at 17 seconds. Tre's nose is very weird looking. But the graphics will be alot better, especially if it isn't released til Mid of 2010.

As for game compatibility, be careful. I have a PS3 and some of the guitar controllers don't work. Make sure it has a USB cable with the wireless. The old PS1/PS2 controllers do not work.

As for the game itself, I'm still really excited for it. I'm just wondering what they'll include as for the venues and everything. Milton Keynes will likely be in there, and probably some Los Angeles/New York Venue as well as possibly Woodstock '94. They said "monumental times in their career" so We'll see!!!
