Surprisingly more challenging? In most of the music I hear today, I can't even hear the bass parts. The bass in Green Day's songs, on the other hand, is very audible. So I don't agree with the surprisingly part.

I agree, in fact when you get to a level where you can 5 star almost any expert song on rock band thrown at you, the bass is actually harder because chords look so easy to the average expert player. Most bass today just copies the melody. Green Day didn't do that the whole song through (at least in their old stuff).

Does ANYONE know where the hell I can get the instruments for this fucking game for the wii? Like its basically impossible, I got the actual game in the airport dirt cheap, but nowhere seems to have the instruments?

I dont feel like paying 200 for Beatles Rockband set because I know it can be bought for less I just cant find it anywhere.

If someone could point out a place online to buy it I would be grateful

If we connect our Xbox 360 to Xbox Live and download the extra songs, does it still have to be connected to Xbox Live to play them?

I really don't wanna buy them and then find I can't play them. Anyone know if you can still play them when the Xbox isn't connected?

we have this store in the US called Gamestop they sell used equipment. Here's the site. perhaps you can look around it and see if they'll ship it to you.

its not a negative comment if you re-read it. most of the songs in rock band are easy with bass, and are pretty boring for bass players, either theyre at a slow rhythm, or its very fast strumming but the same note, and not many stand out. they are saying compared to the track packs and songs out, the bass is actually fun/challenging to play

It's alright, It's just that some people on here who haven't even got the game yet want the rewards to be surprises.

It's alright if people discuss the rewards, but they should just put a warning first and then the spoiler so people who don't want to know yet know not to open the spoiler.

Yeah I'm having trouble finding the instruments for the Wii as well. My brother says that they're really hard to come by now because Rock Band 3 will have completely different instruments or something.

Anyways, I've finished the game on easy/medium (got bored of playing it on easy so I switched to medium half way though).

It took me forever to transition from medium to hard. My fingers kept on getting messed up because of the orange button.

Holy shit, rock band 3 will have a REAL, playable 6 string guitar that you can plug into an amp. I don't think it wil be compatible by the sounds of it with older rock band games so you should try and buy up the rockband equipment for "Green Day" while you can.

Also, it will have the ability to add a keyboard controller. This is fantastic so all the time that people are learning to play these games, they will finally start learning how to actually play the instruments, much like the drums are currently (the only viable instrument that you can learn drumming on). Crazy.

If someone needs help finding it for the Wii which is the hardest to find it for, let me know where you are and I will find it for you.

Yeah I saw that a while ago when I was looking up RB stuff. Its stupid, why the fuck would I wanna play real guitar in a fucking game? I have a real guitar...and I know how to play it lol it's dumb. The whole reason people play Rock Band is cuz usually it's for partys and people don't wanna do hard shit if they're partying so I think it's gonna flop. I know I'm not fucking buying it. I'm not gonna get the keyboard either if they make you play for real. That's why I have a piano...like WTF really.

I'm pretty sure I've seen videos of people using the regular 5 button controllers with Rockband 3, It's most likely going to be backwards compatible, so you don't need to get the real guitar if you don't want to. Its worth it alone for all the updated features, including harmonies, which should include chart updates for the already existing downloadable content , allowing harmonies, and keyboard. So you can now play the intro to Viva la Gloria and stuff like that with an instrument

Besides, if GDRB doesn't get any DLC, You are gonna need a game to play the Green Day DLC Harmonix said they will most likely keep releasing, so you might as well get the one with the most available features and gameplay variety

But unless we talk about Green Day Rock Band related stuff, we should probably keep the RB3 discussions in the Rock Band 3 thread found in the Gaming and Technology section.
