Martyn Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 Hey I have a question, I got the regular version of this game and I finished the career mode. I'd like to buy a xbox live card for one month to get the 6 tracks missing. If I buy them with this card, will they still be in the game after the one month has passed? You don't need an xbox live card for a month. Those cards upgrade you to Gold, and means you can play online. You'll still need to buy the 6 tracks. So don't bother getting a card for a month. You'll need to buy a Microsoft Points card in a shop, or purchase them using a credit card. They're divided into two song packs, each with three songs. These packs are 440 Microsoft Points each, so you'll need to buy a total of at least 880 Microsoft Points if you're buying in a show.

RobyRoom Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 Don't know if it was already posted anyway MTV aired a special about Rock Band. I saw that some bits were posted on MTV.com and I've ripped them and edited a video for YouTube. The interview is really cute, here you go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqSy5g_NePw Too bad I didn't have the chance to tape it when it was aired, the special lasted about 20 minutes and it was really funny.
jtdscape Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 I think it was 2000LYA and 409 In Your Coffeemaker. Those are the ones I have anyway. Yep those are the ones, my bad.

Thanks for that I'd already seen most of it but it's nice to see it again (also without the MTV site suggesting I go visit mtv.nl instead of mtv.com ) Yep those are the ones, my bad. No prob.

Will see if they sell them in bestbuy or in eb games shops later today. Thanks a lot for your help! oh and I don't own rock band 2 so the only place where I can buy them is the xbox live marketplace right?
Mari91 Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 I haven't done vocals yet... on anything Is it very hard at all? nah, not really. just some songs like Brain Stew/Jaded is pretty ridiculous did anyone notice that they actually put that picture on the back of blue? i don't remember what song i saw it on but it was at the end, i was just kind of surprised that they took the time to do that. http://i47.tinypic.com/2rmb8kj.jpg YES!! i freaked out when i saw it , my sister thought i went nuts! i saw it while trying to complete the entire Dookie album, cant remember which song either

stxrlesseyes Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 I haven't done vocals yet... on anything Is it very hard at all? It all depends on your voice. It is really easy for me. The only song I have problems with is Nice Guys Finish Last but, my boyfriend can barely sing Boulevard of Broken Dreams so I guess it just depends on what octave your voice is in.
whatshername-thefrenchy Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 The game is great but I think they could have done better. I think the Beatles one is more developped. I am quite dissapointed there is only 3 stages. And what dissapointed me the most is that you have to buy Rock Band or RB 2 to download the other songs they released earlier. And I don't have other RBs. It sucks and it is completey ridiculous I don'y know why they haven't made an acces to the Rock Band store on the game. It's quite a shame. Isn't there any other solutions to download them on the wii? Or will I have to buy another rock band if I really want these songs?

You can also rent RB2 or something and then get the songs on the game.

Clayish Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 *spoiler* Doing the ENTIRE 21st Century Breakdown challenge only gets you freaking Know Your Enemy? Major disappointment right there.
Hermione Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 OK, I still can't find any way of seeing a list of my scores/number of stars on each song on each instrument. Because I've already 5 starred all the songs on vocals, whatever instrument I'm playing it just says I have 5 stars on every song. I wanna know how well I've done on each song on guitar! Surely that's something everyone who plays the game would want to know??? Is there a way?

Hermione Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 Go into career mode and start a new career? Ahh yeah! Thanks, I can't believe I didn't think of that. Bit annoying to have to do that though. On Guitar Hero it seems like the major thing, the list of scores and number of stars you've achieved. Trying to get all the stars and beat my high scores is the most fun thing about these games. I'm astonished that no one else is bothered they can't easily see how many stars they have on each song so they can try and get more. Astonished! I love playing this game but as far as I can see from my limited experience Rock Band sucks compared to Guitar Hero. This game lacks any sense of challenge.
Jinjonator Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 If you're on guitar, it should tell you the guitar scores (and the blue fret switches it to bass scores). I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure vocal scores only come up when you're, y'know, using the regular controller for vocals. EDIT: Wait, are you looking at the scores in Career mode or Quickplay? Quickplay still shows the high score, even if you got it playing Career mode. Maybe that's it.

No wonder no one else had this problem . I'm going to enjoy this game a lot more now.
son Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 yesterday i had the #1 band score for in the end for 360, dunno if its the same yet

I think they did wonderful with the three venues they did use though. Especially at the Fox theater. The background changed with each song to coincide with the way that it was on the 21st Century Breakdown Tour which makes me feel know real. I know when the pyro kicks in on the second half of 21st Century Breakdown, it feels like I'm at the show again.
