i_wanna_see_the_light Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 I just downloaded the Demo!! I could only play on drums(without the pedal which is broken ), but I will test it with a few friends with guitar and microphone later this day. The game is fucking amazing!! The show, the effects, the sound, the atmosphere,.... THe only thing I don't like is that you can't play what you want in the beginning of the song on drums which you could on Rock Band 2.
CarnageXB Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 I don't know if its been asked before but has anyone pre-ordered from Gamestop? and did they say if there is going to be a midnight release? Lol there's not going to be a midnight release. It's just a rock band game. Midnight releases are reserved for big blockbuster games such as halo and grand theft auto. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=220611278380&Category=33034&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26its%3DI%26otn%3D1 sweet.... Dude, is http://www.bjguitars.com your site because I bought a replica bj guitar from there years ago and the guy came to my house and hand delivered it to me. I live in Baltimore also. Ill be buying one of those rock band controllers from that site.
Metanoia Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 just played the songs that are out till now with one of my friends yesterday i love it <3
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 It hurts to know I will only be able to buy and play this June 22nd. Well of course I can buy it the 8th (or I think so, I haven't actually seen a single ad for GDRB anywhere; tv, in shops, magazines, internet), but if I do I'll mess up my testweek and I really can't afford to do that
Alan86 Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 ^ I have yet to see advertising for it either. I went in to two game shops in the last week and it wasn't even in their coming soon section, which is odd cause they have games up there that are due out around the same time. If it wasn't for GDC i would be completely unaware that Green Day Rock Band even exists.

With The Beatles Rock Band MTV was completely flooded with commercials for it, now there really isn't anything at all.
Mari91 Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Its like $10 more, but I'm not sure. You'll have to check the prices. ight thanks!
JHyena86 Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Finally went and pre ordered this today at Gamestop and payed for it, so now I just have to pick it up. 1 week My friends and I are having a party on the 8th and plan to play all day, lol
CarnageXB Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 I'm so getting this for green day rock band http://www.bjguitars.com/
Jacob. Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 I'm so getting this for green day rock band http://www.bjguitars.com/ I'm getting one of those Guitars today so I have it when the game comes out.
biwic Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Does anything extra come with pre-ordering it? I'm too lazy to go look it up right now
Sanity Loan Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Does anything extra come with pre-ordering it? I'm too lazy to go look it up right now If you pre-order the standard edition from GameStop, you get a free token so you can export all the songs into your Rock Band library (so you can play the songs on RB1, RB2, and eventually RB3). And that is one advantage of the Plus edition. But you already have the 6 DLC songs those will automatically transfer into the game. So if you pre-order from GameStop you ultimately save $10 if you want the export token
misslyssx Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 I've become obsessed with the demo. I feel bad for my family when I have the whole game

Sanity Loan Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 GamePro gives the game a 4.5/5 http://www.gamepro.com/article/reviews/215302/green-day-rock-band/
XBlade1X Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 GamePro gives the game a 4.5/5 http://www.gamepro.com/article/reviews/215302/green-day-rock-band/ That was a great review. I want to see more like this, these guys obviously know how to do a good one. Edit: funny though, looking at the side of the page Red Dead Redemption got a lower score but it makes sense I guess, Red Dead is a great game, but was full of bugs and glitches that bought the score down, where as GDRB doesn't sound like it has many bugs at all, the only ones we have really found so far is the one on WTP, which i didn't even really care about, or notice until I looked for it on purpose, and that pic from 21CB in the warehouse, although I think it was more of an easter egg than a bug, and I didn't see it in WTP, so it may have even been removed. I like the way the review looks from a fans and non fans perspective, that's what I wanted to see in reviews for this game, I think if more sites do reviews like this, the game won't get lower than the 75% we saw on the other page.
Sanity Loan Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 That was a great review. I want to see more like this, these guys obviously know how to do a good one. Yes they do. It will be up on GDA tomorrow morning... I thought it was that good.
The Guy Called Kill Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 I'm not sure about the whole 6 track addition for 21CB When you buy the game, are they automatically transferred into the game or do you have to buy them as extra? thanks for any help
Sanity Loan Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 [quote name=The Guy called Kill ' date='01 June 2010 - 06:28 PM' timestamp='1275434911' post='3861888] I'm not sure about the whole 6 track addition for 21CB When you buy the game, are they automatically transferred into the game or do you have to buy them as extra? thanks for any help Yes, they automatically transfer. No extra purchase needed if you already have them.
The Guy Called Kill Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Yes, they automatically transfer. No extra purchase needed if you already have them. Ok, so if I haven't bought them, I have to buy them to play them in the game?
minorty13 Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 One week I'm so sad that I only have one week to play it before I go to California ... but then again, I'm going to California haha I am DETIRMINED to be able to play Welcome to Paradise on expert drums without failing out before the 8th! Speaking of failing out, I felt REALLY bad when I did and Billie and Mike started yelling at Tre in the game! Those band fights are intense
Laura! Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 ^ Poor Tre. No matter what instrument you fail out on Tre gets yelled at? Or do they yell at the person who's playing the instrument your playing? I'm going on vacation next week and will be gone till after the game comes out. I have a preorder at Game Stop. Do any of you know if they'll hold my preorder for a few days till I get back? Or should I get my money back that I put down for the preorder and just buy it when I get back?
minorty13 Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 ^ Poor Tre. No matter what instrument you fail out on Tre gets yelled at? Or were you playing drums at the time? Well Billie seems to always blame it on someone else But yea I was on the drums, those are the only thing I can do without sucking. I tried singing and bass and guitar though They're super fun, I'm just no good.
Tek Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 they normally only hold your pre order for 42 hours, but I doubt this game will be sold out so they should hold onto it for you. You can always give them a call to be sure.
