Hammie Stein Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 It hasn't even been 'Officially' announced yet though, who's even selling it? http://www.focusmusic.eu/green-day-demolicious-lp/
greendepent Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Well, this could mean a lot of things. - ISH 2 - Shenaningans 2 - Remixes of the trilogy - Remake of Dookie - Outtakes of different records - Totally and brand new stuff! So, I don't know what to expect.
Cob Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 I'm really fucking excited for this. I don't care if they just released a bunch of albums, give it to me Green Day. GIVE IT TO MEH!!!!
ollhjr Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 I'm really fucking excited for this. I don't care if they just released a bunch of albums, give it to me Green Day. GIVE IT TO MEH!!!! I am still this excited after finding out about this seven hours ago!!
Gwen Stacy Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Trying to predict what Green Day will do next is like trying to predict what direction a spastic chicken that's high on cocaine is going to run.
beejeezee Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 So, having never had the faintest interest in Record Store Day before now, you can only buy this physically in stores? And is it usually just on vinyl? And what must one do to participate in this?
schesney Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Trying to predict what Green Day will do next is like trying to predict what direction a spastic chicken that's high on cocaine is going to run. Spastic *headless chicken
Akshat Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Holy fucking shit. Where did that come from?
WestboundSign! Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Oh my god! That was soo unexpected, really. Seems super unreal, yet my excitement cannot be caputred in words! I absolutley can't wait to hold this in my hands, wow! WHAT is this band always doing to me?
DookieLukie Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Do people really feel the need for a new album right now? Seriously? We just got 3 brand new fucking albums (which apart from about 2-3 songs, are excellent) and now we're getting this . . a 2 disc collection of possibly all unreleased Green Day demos and people still want more?? I just don't get it . . people are never satisfied with anything. I remember when International Superhits/Supervideos was released and everyone went apeshit. They were overcome with happiness, over songs and videos that had all been previously available for years. My how times have changed. When International Superhits came out, it was pre-AI so there were no bleeding fangirls.
Backyard Skulls Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 A lot of people hate the trilogy along with the promotional side of it so it's not really unreasonable for people to be excited about this? No-one was demanding anything just speculating but some fans do have the expectation that the band 'owes' them after the trilogy lmao. Personally I'm really excited about this, it was out of the blue!
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 When International Superhits came out, it was pre-AI so there were no bleeding fangirls. Come on now, don't start this shit again...
solongfromthestars Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 It's not exactly unreasonable for people to be excited about the thought of more possible new stuff, doesn't mean they aren't grateful for anything. this is so exciting!

I can't imagine why people would want more from their favourite band... Your argument is flawed anyway, no one was demanding anything, just wondering about tour possibilities. Which isn't surprising given the band haven't made up for the cancelled US tour yet, and haven't hit various parts of the world for quite a while.
Oxymore Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 If this is a fake I'm gonna regret the 10 minutes I spent squealing like a fangirl.
Oxymore Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Edit, not being a killjoy, how the fuck did this news came out ?
Fuzz Posted February 24, 2014 Author Posted February 24, 2014 Edit, not being a killjoy, how the fuck did this news came out ? It seems like one site listed the item for sale, and another blog that talks about vinyl added this to their list of special Record Store Day exclusives. Then some other sites listed it for sale and included a barcode and stuff, that's why we decided it was enough for us to publish, even though we haven't independently verified it.
fatherotti Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 So is this like a real LP as in only on Vinyl? Kind of a killjoy for those of who us who don't have record players. Why no digital?
Fuzz Posted February 24, 2014 Author Posted February 24, 2014 So is this like a real LP as in only on Vinyl? Kind of a killjoy for those of who us who don't have record players. Why no digital? These releases are meant to help support vinyl and independent record stores. Not usually meant as something the band plans on having as a wide release. They want people to go out and support their local shops.
fatherotti Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 They want people to go out and support their local shops. It's being sold online though haha. I'll still buy it...though I guess I'll have to buy a vinyl player that can rip to cd's haha. Does such a thing exist?

fatherotti Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Yes, most modern vinyl players have this K thanks. Just found some for less than $100. Based on what Andres said, I'm not holding out for a digital or CD release. I'll just preorder the LP lol.
Karen. Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 First thought: cool. Second thought: this is going to be so expensive. I bought a single on RSD last year - 10!! Double LP - !!
Karl Karlson Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 They should have saved the "licious" title for Tré's Solo Album "Trélicious"!
