green day is Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 American Idiot had over 100 in places. If that isn't hyperbole then I demand an example, stat.
Guest Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 If that isn't hyperbole then I demand an example, stat. I remember someone went into great detail in one of the threads, either the Trilogy Is Underrated or Unpopular Opinions. Probably was WhiteTim. Go search.
green day is Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I remember someone went into great detail in one of the threads, either the Trilogy Is Underrated or Unpopular Opinions. Probably was WhiteTim. Go search. Closest I could find by WT was in the Q&A thread talking about the trilogy and he said each track had 50-60 tracks (citing a Guitar World article), not guitar tracks and not necessarily all stacked on top of one another. I'd be incredulous no matter what, though. You don't just layer 100 guitar tracks over one another, that'd be ridiculous and pointless. It's either 100 tracks including different sections and solos as well as double-tracking and reverb or 100 altogether, with all instruments and different parts and what-not -- or just not 100 at all. Someone, somewhere along the line is exaggerating.
JckThndrclff Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Yeah I thought track no.9 was Stay the Night and no.18 was Stay the Night (acoustic)?
