WhiteTim Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Why didn't they just release it as Cinco? And this album will have to have the original demo of Amy. It's one of my least favorite trilogy songs, but it sounded amazing live, and they talked about that demo a few times in the 2012 interviews. I'm really hoping it includes this But Amy was the demo I mean it was Billie at his home studio just like see you tonight
Asa. Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 But Amy was the demo I mean it was Billie at his home studio just like see you tonight but there was another version that included a prominent string part (drums, too if I remember correctly?)
beejeezee Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 But Amy was the demo I mean it was Billie at his home studio just like see you tonight I would have loved an album of just Billie in his home studio.
WhiteTim Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 but there was another version that included a prominent string part (drums, too if I remember correctly?) Ooohhh ok
AngelBlue_ Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 I would have loved an album of just Billie in his home studio.Oh yes.only his pure voice and guitar . No fucking filter.just like the acoustic vids he posted on ig. Life = made.
Hammie Stein Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 "We are releasing 18 demos, including an unreleased track, from the Uno, Dos and Tres sessions" So only one new song but this is still really awesome! Hopefully that one new song will be Oh Girl, Dreamcatcher, and Olivia merged into one! maybe Demos of songs that are still unreleased
beejeezee Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Oh yes.only his pure voice and guitar . No fucking filter.just like the acoustic vids he posted on ig. Life = made. That literally made my life better.
Slice Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 but there was another version that included a prominent string part (drums, too if I remember correctly?) That's right. There is a full band version recorded in the studio put they decided to put the demo on the album instead
Jean Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Since last night I have also been thinking about. I'm so sorry about that. Somebody with much more talent should be able to superimpose Billie's head onto Fergie's body and make it the album cover. Other random thought. I know this won't happen, but I could only wish Minnesota Girl. Even if the dudes on the podcast said otherwise. #blessed Demolicious definition make the fans go loco They want new music so the band release a double vinyl It's a B to the I, L, L, the I, the E and can no other fellow put it down like he.
Mar Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 I will admit that my excitement has diminished incredibly upon finding out about these details, just because the trilogy songs aren't heavy in my playlist and, like, I'm not jonesing for different versions of songs I'm already not crazy about. But, whatever, it's something, and even if I find myself liking one demo and the unreleased song, it's better than nothing! I'm assuming Warner will release a fair amount of copies to stores, since they are such a big label and they want to make money off of this; there isn't money in only pressing two copies or something and then having them sells on secondary markets for a lot of money that Warner won't get, yknow? Whether I'll be able to find it locally, idk.
Jon Benjamin Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 but there was another version that included a prominent string part (drums, too if I remember correctly?)strings and bass, no mention of drums
Clockwise Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 So fucking excited for this- I love the trilogy to bits and the parts of demos we've heard in CUATRO sound even better than the studio versions. I cannot wait. Out of the unreleased songs we know about, I'd say we have the best chances of getting either State of Shock or Dreamcatcher (which is my pick).

cocoepops Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 with a hint of Cigarettes and Valentines Really can't complain. Bring on the demo's. I am ready.
WhiteTim Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 To be fair though Warner does do things that make no sense for them monetarily. Like, you know, actually promoting the trilogy. They had NO band to promote... Go sign a band and put out a cd and then let them go on a hiatus and cant do promo shows or interviews let me know if you'd be willing to spend MILLIONS of dollars to promote then...
HolyHandGrenade Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 State of Shock sounds like it should be one of the sections of American Eulogy. Mass Hysteria State of Shock Modern World Neither that nor Dreamcatcher has ever been leaked, correct?

As far as I know though, you can literally only get Record Store Day records at record and specialized music stores and they supply every store with about 20-40 copies of each RSD record. At least that's what all the people who work at said stores have all told me how they get their RSD records. You can find a list of participating locations on their website. And that's what I find great about record store day and just as a collector in general. You really gotta go early and try and score yourself a copy before stores sell out. Go and get it while you can or suffer and pay really bad after market prices. Besides, it's super fun going to your local store, and waiting in line to find rarities in general. It's like free comic book day.

They do sometimes release RSD "exclusives" to a regular release later on like the 2013 remix of Nirvana's In Utero vinyl was originally a 4k limited RSD Fall 2013 exclusive it'll be out for regular sale in 3 weeks Again it just depends on the label and the interests of said item
