Oxymore Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Does anybody remember Billie posting about rerecording guitar tracks for some trilogy songs last spring? Maybe we'll finally get to hear the result of his work. I'd kill for dirty rotten bastards with AI's guitar sound You mean this ? http://instagram.com/p/YtSmbUJFSD/#
kripack Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 You mean this ? http://instagram.com/p/YtSmbUJFSD/# Yep, also this http://instagram.com/p/Yn9BjLpFYn/ and this http://instagram.com/p/YwBgfoJFSB/#
jakdokinori Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 I actually really like the name as well, it's catchy and rolls off the tongue, very simple too. Reminds me of the simple names like Kerplunk, Dookie, Insomniac. etc.
Alan86 Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Hoping for Kill the DJ demo. That shit sounded so much better! But their demos are always better than the produced ones There is a kill the Dj demo????
jakdokinori Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 There is a kill the Dj demo???? You can hear it being played near the beginning of Cuatro, it sounds way more out there and different than the studio version.
Todd Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 A cover of Husker Du, and I'm pretty sure they've done something else. But that was the only one Jack (gda news editor) remembered when i asked. They put out Know Your Enemy 7" too in 2009.
Alan86 Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 You can hear it being played near the beginning of Cuatro, it sounds way more out there and different than the studio version. Isn't that just from a live recording
Todd Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Isn't that just from a live recording Nope, its a studio demo
BradGreenDay Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 dis is awesome newsssss lol this was my reaction:
lizziebix Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 The concept even got hubby excited when I told him about it. Him not being nearly as big a fan but still excited to see what they'll give us.
Ross_19 Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 I wonder if we'll get a State Of Shock demo, or something
Alan86 Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Nope, its a studio demo Oh cool, I really hope that is on there, even though I really like the version we already have.
Penguin Puffball Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 So is this basically another Shenanigans?
Ryan Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 So is this basically another Shenanigans? Here's to hoping! I don't think we really know what it is yet. That's why it's so exciting!
Penguin Puffball Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Here's to hoping! I don't think we really know what it is yet. That's why it's so exciting! Someone on tumblr said it's gonna be a two-album thing and I'm too lazy to read this whole thread. Is that true?
Ryan Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Someone on tumblr said it's gonna be a two-album thing and I'm too lazy to read this whole thread. Is that true? That is what has been reported so far.
Blond-O-Sonic Shimmer Trap Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 I wonder how deep they're delving into the demo catalogue for this. A double album gives me hope. I've always wanted to hear their cover of Alison they recorded for Nimrod.
American_edot Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 They put out Know Your Enemy 7" too in 2009. you got a link tman? thanks in advance
Heather. Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 So is this basically another Shenanigans? Obviously this is just speculation because we know nothing, but I doubt it'll be all unreleased B-sides. Maybe a mix of never-heard stuff and demo versions of existing songs. Well, wait, were most of the Shenanigans songs previously available as B-sides, and they were just put together in one CD as a compilation? Or were some of them brand new?
Ross_19 Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Someone on tumblr said it's gonna be a two-album thing and I'm too lazy to read this whole thread. Is that true? Could be for all we know XD All we know is it's name, none of it has been confirmed though. Its a two disc thing apparently, probably with some unheard material on
JOE THE X-KID Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Maybe forever and World vs world. Doubt it but that would make my life.
Penguin Puffball Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 FUCK YEAH Obviously this is just speculation because we know nothing, but I doubt it'll be all unreleased B-sides. Maybe a mix of never-heard stuff and demo versions of existing songs. Well, wait, were most of the Shenanigans songs previously available as B-sides, and they were just put together in one CD as a compilation? Or were some of them brand new? I'm pretty sure Shenanigans was just B-sides they put together into one CD
Karl Karlson Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Well, wait, were most of the Shenanigans songs previously available as B-sides, and they were just put together in one CD as a compilation? Or were some of them brand new? Yes, all of them. But "Ha Ha You're Dead" was especially recorded for the compilation.
