Sauli Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 I haven't entered this thread for ages and I'm still on about the same things but I want to remind the world that I exist and so venture to point out that Warning is their best album ever no doubt. 4 Quote

Warning is an outstanding album - it's just too soon for any unpopular opinions. Quote

AlissaGoesRAWR Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I think Jinx/Haushinka officially are my favorite transition songs. Both are solid songs, and the transition is just so punchy. Flawless, really. They're two gems on Nimrod amongst the experimental chaos. I even like them more than Give Me Novacaine/She's a Rebel or Holiday/BOBD now, which are both off my favorite album. 2 Quote
captain peroxide Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 ALBUM OPINIONS Warning and Insomniac are easily the best. No question. 21CB, Dos and Tre are their three worst albums by far, although there are a few good songs on each. The rest are all very good, although not perfect. I have no idea as to the popularity of these opinions, but it's how I feel. 3 Quote

As for me Warning and Insomniac are 3rd and 4th worst (after 39/Smooth and Kerplunk), and 21st CB and Uno Dos and Tre as a whole are among the best. Quote

Hermione Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I just... do not understand that at all, but live and let live. Well I like them all loads so it doesn't mean much really . Only slight differences in how highly I rate each one. Quote

Dookie and AI are at the top, with Nimrod, Insomniac, 21CB almost all of them fighting for the spot below, with the Trilogy below them (Uno, Tre, Dos, in descending order). Quote

Well, I meant, I don't understand how you can rate the songwriting from those albums so highly. Nah, I disagree - you're right in that Dos is their worst, but definitely not 21CB, that's near the top of the list for me. captain peroxide Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 How long has it been? I listen to it at least once a week. All the way through, actually paying attention? A long time. Lately, I've been brushing up on the albums I never got super familiar with (39/Smooth, Kerplunk, Insomniac, Nimrod). 1 Quote

I try to make it through their entire discography over weekends (barring this last one, listening to new music took precedence), not necessarily while doing nothing else but having it on and loud enough for me not to tune out. 1 Quote

I go through musical phases where I only listen to one artist, and then inbetween phases is usually when I shuffle my entire library. This is the fourth or fifth Green Day phase I've had, but I know it'll wear out at some point. Until it does, I'm pretty much listening to them all the time. 1 Quote
Guest Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Anyone who doesn't have AI in at least their top three albums is just crazy. AI is objectively the best album the band has ever put out and the closest thing they have to a perfect album, the end. Quote

Most of the time I have things on shuffle (Green Day and their side bands, everything from Peter Doherty and Carl Barat), but on weekends I try to go through Green Day's discography in full unless there's something else I need to listen to. captain peroxide Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Why does everyone like 21CB so much? The concept aspects of it are incredibly forced, it's about 5 songs too long, and it's overproduced, just in a different way than the trilogy was. 3 Quote
