BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 I don't think it was ever intended as a joke. I'm sure billie once said on Twitter who it was aimed at, though I cant rememher who it was now. Tim Yohannan, a Maximum Rock'n'roll journalist who despised Green Day and died of cancer in 1998 - so after Nimrod was released. Quote

Jirachi Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 I like Wow Thats Loud but feel like 4 minutes is a bit too long for it, it seems more fitting as a 2-3 minute song instead of 4 and a half. Quote

Billie Hoe Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 I think The Forgotten is Green Day's most underrated (or... well, forgotten) song. I also love Take Back so much. 2 Quote
Billie Hoe Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 A couple of years ago, I'd have agreed with you. Then, I got lyrics from The Forgotten tattooed on me, slowly realized just how shitty the song is, and now I'm having to pay for a massive cover-up. Well, I wouldn't get it tattooed anywhere I love the lyrics though and after hearing it a couple of times I had to realise that the song is absolutely amazing and so emotional. But maybe I'm just reading too much into it. Where is that tattoo? Quote

Jirachi Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Im kind of opening up to dos and I like it a bit more than I did before. Is it a great album? Oh fuck no. But I do enjoy listening to it every now and then (Though I skip Nightlife and 1 or 2 others when I do ) I still do like stuff like Fuck Time and Makeout Party and Lazy Bones and stuff. 1 Quote

AlissaGoesRAWR Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 (edited) I have no idea where to post this, but... I listened to Demolicious while high last night and suddenly the entire trilogy era makes sense. Seriously, when you're under the influence of something, the trilogy isn't that bad!
