tdlyon Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 I still don't get why Stray Heart is on Dos, isn't the song pretty much about cheating on someone and wishing you could have them back. Much better on Tre. I think it's because the sound of the song sounds a lot more like Dos than Drama Queen does. That song would have been so out of place on Dos. 2 Quote
Z J Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 How? I don't really know how to put it.. but I guess the "Where is my motivation?" can serve as a bit of a call to action? There's no real logical answer Quote
Todd Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 And if you think SOSH is the best green day album it is clearly because you haven't overplayed it like crazy like with Dookie. Dookie has to be at least in the top 3. What? It's been my favorite Green Day album for two years, it's really all I listen to. I'm listening to I Was There right now. And no, it's not very clear at all. Quote

And no, it's not very clear at all. I just don't think most of the melodies are even close to being on the same level as the ones on the rest of their albums. And even the songs that are pretty good are almost completely ruined imo by the production. It doesn't even really sound like mid-90's green day a lot of the time. I mean it is all opinion and it's fine if it's your favorite but to me that's the one album along with the trilogy that are pretty clearly sub-par compared to the rest of the output in their illustrious career. KGLWW Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 ^That's the best part imo Well see that makes me think your just enjoying it the most right now because your tired of listening to their most popular stuff. I mean is it your all-time favorite or your favorite right now? You've had to have listened to dookie or kerplunk or american idiot and enjoyed it at least at one point a lot more than you ever did with SOSH right? Quote

I love Dookie and Kerplunk and American Idiot. But I'm 16, I relate to 39/Smooth probably a lot better than adults do. And I'm sure I'll outgrow it for that reason, but for now I want to enjoy it while I can. 2 Quote

Even though Todd is a dirty hipster, he has a right to his opinion and at least he doesn't call everyone else fake fans 2 Quote
Popular Post Spike Posted August 11, 2014 Author Popular Post Posted August 11, 2014 I would like to take a moment just to say that whoever things Dos is terrible has to be a dumb person. Name calling is not tolerated in this community. Consider this your verbal warning. 10 Quote

Fuzz Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 50/50. Either I retaliate or just leave. Really no way of knowing for sure. 1 Quote

Todd Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 This is now pinned in my favorites bar between the tounge emoticon that Andres hates (), and the WhiteTim emoticon that's only used when WhiteTim says something () 1 Quote
WhiteTim Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 and the WhiteTim emoticon that's only used when WhiteTim says something () That is insulting and I demand him to be banned Tom I demand justice and swift justice at that 1 Quote
The Disappearing Boy Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Why is that the WhiteTim emoticon? I really hope the code for it is :whitetim: Edit: clearly not Quote

Steven Seagull Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Y'know, it'd be really fantastic if one of these days you actually gave us a reason as to why's that's true that doesn't rely on "true fan" nonsense. Like you did? Nothing is underrated on the Trilogy because it's all a pile of shit. Quote
Spike Posted August 11, 2014 Author Posted August 11, 2014 Like you did? I think you'll find that numerous people, Praxus included, have explained their dislike of the Trilogy multiple times. Something you've never done with AI. 2 Quote

Something you've never done with AI. It's garbage. Bad songs (except wmuwse), bad production, the whole rock opera thing and mainstream fuck bush theme. Should I start talking about singles? AI must be the most overrated GD song ever. The songs are too long... Just for the start. I don't like it. Is that so wrong? Quote

She's A Rebel is 2 minutes long, Are We The Waiting is only 40 seconds longer. AI is under 3 minutes too. Why am I even bothering to reply to you anyway? Quote
