You had to sell them? :(

Yeah. If I can raise the money for them within two weeks I can get them back, but it's like £300 so it ain't gonna happen.

For that price, I'm tempted to buy them!

They only give you two weeks?

They don't let you pay for extensions?

They gave me four weeks but two have passed already. They don't do extensions, which sucks.

Well, this looks exciting. Really expensive, though. I don't think my guitar covers would earn me the scholarship.

Is there a program/app or OSX or iOS that lets you write quick melodies? Like a quick songwriter app? I'm looking for something that basically allows you to write melodies as they come to you as quickly as possible

How about the keyboard in GarageBand?

Yeah my "setup" is already just GarageBand with a 25-key MIDI controller. I was just asking to see if someone had a more efficient way, rather than having one big project for a bunch of 10 second melodies, or a bunch of projects just for a small melody. Or maybe I'm doing GarageBand wrong.

I'm primarily a guitar player, so this might not work for you, but I usually just record a video in PhotoBooth of myself playing the riff or singing the melody or whatever. That way, I can go back to it, and even refer to the video if I forgot how to play it. Which happens a lot.

Yup, I got accepted! :) I didn't apply for the scholarship yet, though. I have until the end of April for that.

You play guitar right?

You play guitar right?

Yeah. Bass is my first instrument but I'd take either at this point, I've played guitar for like 11 years anyway. Not that I have an amp, which is my ongoing problem.
