Does Mike actually speak fluent German? I thought he was just being cute like a lot of celebrities and posting a few little phrases. I'm infinitely more attracted to him

It's hard to say. He usually does that in German speaking countries (I haven't noticed he'd do the same somewhere else - but maybe I just don't remember idk) and none of it was wrong (as far as I can say ) that makes me believe he doesn't use Google translate. He either has someone to write in German for him or he can do it himself.

Oooh, I really hope he does. German is my favourite language and I hold a deep envy for anyone who speaks it as a second language (I tried to learn, but it was very difficult considering I'd not retain it living in a 100% English-speaking environment). Basically if someone speaks German, they're already halfway to having me swoon over them

I'd be surprised if he does, though, because then I would have expected speeches from him at every show they do around here. But it's usually just Billie yelling some things in German like "Deutschlaaaaaand" or "Ich liebe dich" But maybe Mike will surprise us at the shows next year. Until then, he can continue writing German, it's fun (and his sentences are faultless, very well done ).

It really is very difficult if you have to learn it. I'm volunteering in a project that offers German-lessons for refugees and I realized once again how much the grammar sucks if it's not your native language

I think my German learning moral improved 

It indeed is difficult...at school we had to pick among German, French and Spanish. Germany is the closest of the three so I went for it. I had absolutely no opinion about that language at the beginning but now I like it.

Same haha. I don't think he speaks it though, probably just knows a few phrases like Tre. But still just him having an appreciation for it pleases me

Me too, although I can hardly speak German myself  I think he's not fluent, but maybe he's learning, which is really nice.

Haven't watched this in ages Yeah well Tré knows the most important German words. He will get along with it, especially in Berlin

Are they though? Shoudn't verlaufen go at the end (Ich habe mich in Berlin verlaufen)? I thought that gave him away when I read it! Sorry I study German and I want to make sure I didn't get it all wrong Otherwise it's a treat to see him write in German.

Yeah you're absolutely right when you're strict about the grammar. But it's totally ok that way and everyone understands it, so I thought it would be nitpicking to count it as a mistake
