stories and songs Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Such a good read. As a writer, any interview that focuses on Songwriter!Billie makes me very happy.
Heather. Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 This interview answered so many questions for me. It's really great to see Billie being interviewed in-depth about an album that's not American Idiot Even greater if it was about an album that's not American Idiot or Dookie. AKA the trilogy.
November's Storms Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Some nice new insights there. It's clear from that last answer in particular how he has moved on with his life. I'm not sure if that's time or just the recent events but it's good to see.

Like, he's done with grudges and general immature attitudes toward people he may have resented for a long, long time.
marieashley113 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 That was a good interview! Lots of insight into the only green day album i ever really liked. I respect this man.
Jollyroger118 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Such a good read. As a writer, any interview that focuses on Songwriter!Billie makes me very happy. Agreed!
Cath Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 i loved when he said the first song he wrote and how much they didn't care about anything. can't wait to buy the full mag!
Overjoyyed Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Loved the interview. I'm glad that they got a few great tid bits of information-especially about coming clean and the gender in basket case. Lol- Instead of just saying I was as high as a kite through the interview. I love when he talks about writing songs and the emotion and intention behind the lyrics.
Hermione Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 What a fantastic interview! Really good read, it's so interesting to hear him talk about the songs and the whole thing is just great. Even greater if it was about an album that's not American Idiot or Dookie. AKA the trilogy.Ahh that would be so great. Sadly never to be (probably )
AngelBlue_ Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Just re-read this...wow Billie seems so mature and...wise...the last answer is genial... I don't even know how to explain it lol like if he has learned a lot from his past...and now he is at peace with himself...
Cath Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 someone knows if this issue is available right now or when it's going to be?
Fuzz Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 someone knows if this issue is available right now or when it's going to be? Not yet. They didn't actually say when the full feature was going to be released. I assume it'll be on the next issue, but they didn't say for certain.
Ritz Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 This was a great read. The insights on the songs and album covers and recording processes is very intriguing! Billie seems like an adult from this interview! Full feature would be an awesome read, can't wait!
LazyPhil Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 That was a great interview, the questions weren't boring. It was a good read!
DookieLukie Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Can someone explain to me why all the Rolling Stone readers hate Adrienne? I'm confused.
StuckWithDom Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Seeing as this article is the top story on rollingstone.com does that mean green day will be on the cover or something for next week? Can someone explain to me why all the Rolling Stone readers hate Adrienne? I'm confused. What were those assholes saying?
Whatsinaname Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Can someone explain to me why all the Rolling Stone readers hate Adrienne? I'm confused. Just jealously. And it was only one poster. She is not "hated" she is adored.
Femme Gauche Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 All the 80 h8ers are just immature and jealous Or to drown them out with GDC Approved positive comments Please do. If this is a cover article I am definitely going to buy the print edition... It promises to be a good one. I like the interview with Billie. The right questions being asked can make an old album new and interesting again, content-wise. This was a great read. The insights on the songs and album covers and recording processes is very intriguing! Billie seems like an adult from this interview! Full feature would be an awesome read, can't wait! lol a 41 year old an adult - imagine! Not criticizing you, haha, that's the same reaction I had. I like the thing he said about not hating someone for something 15-year-old them said.
Z J Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 It's very interesting to hear an in-depth interview about their early years from their current perspective, because most of those interviews are done pre-2000. There are still a lot of interesting things I hope to hear about in the full interview (probably won't though). For example, how did they decide to use Welcome To Paradise, and not One of my Lies or 409 in your Coffeemaker. Also would like to hear a bit on what Cavallo thought of the outcast punk trio that he was engaged in a bidding war for. Idk these are weird things that'd interest me
Femme Gauche Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Who is this Glib person? Don't know, but evidently he or she reads this forum and GDA regularly.
HolyHandGrenade Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Don't know, but evidently he or she reads this forum and GDA regularly. Can't decide between troll or misguided, poor fool
StuckWithInsomnia Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 The Adrienne haters aren't for real, they're just trying bait other people
