All these people who talk about Mothers and not mothers, as if that shows some respect, and refer to cake as a Cake because it's a particular cake and not just a random one...I don't get it. German people can get away with this as their native language might lead them to think it's right in English as well, the rest of us can't and shouldn't. Quote
