alexandra_1039 Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 based on that short clip of miranda and billie, her voice was kinda overpowering and annoying lol. too country sounding for me haha but im sure it will turn out pretty cool
Oxymore Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Well they joked about it in his interview on The Jeff Matika show Which moment ? Oh and I didn't know about Norah, I think speculations have already begun....
LudeBoy Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 why? seriously, why? Fuck all this nonsense he's doing.
Fuzz Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 I don't think Norah being pregnant has anything to do with it. I think Miranda Lambert is playing because she's nominated twice this year. They probably also wanted a nominee to perform during the Phil Everly part, so they paired up Miranda with Billie Joe because of Foreverly.

I think that's correct, and from Grammy's perspective they probably did want Miranda from the beginning, but I also think that if Norah had pushed to do this with Billie, it'd happen. She's won more Grammys than BJ & Miranda combined and is a bigger star than Miranda Lambert, who has only just begun to make a bigger name for herself being in a country "power couple" with Blake Shelton. The press on this is interesting because they're sort of billing Miranda and Billie Joe both as 'nominees,' even though Billie is just unofficially related to the Cuatro nomination.
Fuzz Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 why? seriously, why? Fuck all this nonsense he's doing. Probably because the Everly Brothers are special to him and he appreciates being a part of something to honor one of them who just recently passed away. Another guess on my part, I don't think Norah Jones is really bothered in any way. I'm sure if she wanted to she could make it happen. But Foreverly was Billie Joe's baby from the start, and if she's not even attending the ceremony to begin with, it makes sense that another nominee would take part in it.

Yeah, I have no doubt that if Norah Jones is watching at home she's excited to see the tribute and in no way feels slighted. She's classy y'all.
Alan86 Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 We don't know that Norah wasn't asked. She may have had to decline and thats why Miranda is doing it instead. Either way im excited to hear this
jumpsalty Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Let's not forget this is a tribute to Phil Everly, but doesn't have anything else to do with foreverly. To have billie and norah do a duet for an in memorium segment might have seemed a bit like promo and a bit tacky.
Heather. Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Miranda will probably be pregnant soon too Gwen Stefani is pregnant too. This boy has been spreading his seed. I'm sorry, enough with this
Mykee Mexx Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Does anybody know what European (German) time the Grammy´s will be?
Oxymore Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Does anybody know what European (German) time the Grammy´s will be? In the early morning (you're talkin about timezone right ?)

jakdokinori Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Which moment ? Oh and I didn't know about Norah, I think speculations have already begun.... It wasn't specifically about his rehab but the first question in his Jeff Matika interview was from Jeff himself asking jokingly 'Let's start light...how's sobriety?' Billie got a good laugh out of it

jakdokinori Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Oh yes that first part ! Yeah, I liked it too Made me love the JMS more ! Yeah! I think it's great that Billie can laugh about it. I'm not an expert by any stretch, but I think part of getting over something like that is being able to find humour in it.

AlissaGoesRAWR Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 why? seriously, why? Fuck all this nonsense he's doing. Nonsense? Yes, honoring a influential musician who recently died and greatly impacted Billie and his family is totally nonsense. What an idiot.
Jean Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I just realized that is the same guitar Billie played Missing You with on instagram.
MaraGreenDay Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I really really hope there's a live stream, and if it's not, i hope someone upload the performance to Youtube right after the whole thing
