Do you guys think they'll cut the songs down in the AI movie? (Like make the songs shorter, not cut them out of the movie.)  Idk if they'd make the movie 57 minutes of musical numbers (And thats if they dont add stuff from the musical) since that either means there'll be 30-40 minutes of talking throughout the whole movie or the movie'll be 2-2 and a half hours.

The musical was 90 minutes with no intermission right? That’s about full feature length. Replacing the stage with location shots would add time to scenes right there and maybe it would wind up at an hour and forty five.

Just occurred to me that Billie has played I Fought the Law with Green Day, FBHT, The Coverups, and The Longshot.  I can't think of any other song that he's played with that many of his bands.

The ads on my instagram keep advertising an app called 'Twisty Road', and every single time I see it, I can't help but immediately burst into song and sing "take me to the tracks at twisTY ROOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD." I am not okay.

I was watching Green Day perform East Jesus Nowhere on Letterman during lunch and it made me smile so much. I have so many great memories associated with the 21CB era. I still remember skipping class the day it came out and heading to Hot Topic to pick up the CD and the shirt. And when I got back to my dorm, I put it on and I had this sense of pride. I was so proud of the boys for making another excellent record. I know a lot of people don't like it, but I loved it and I still like the album a lot. 

Plus, I love the way Billie points when he says "your confession will be crucified."

It's been almost two years since I heard Minority for the first time (it's actually one of the songs that got me into GD) and it's still as perfect as ever. I don't think I'll ever get bored of it.

I dont believe that AI Movie is gonna happen atleast with Billie Joe starring as St. Jimmy. He is just way too old for that already.

Makeup can do wonders! And his voice is still in tact. But i doubt the movie is gonna happen. They’ve been saying it for years.

Also St Jimmy was never even young in the AI musical when it was on Broadway. The regular actor and Billie were in their late thirties, and Melissa Etheridge who played the part for a few shows was in her fifties. In the musical at least it's a separate character that doesn't necessarily have to be young, there to lead JOS/Johnny astray with drugs etc. I agree it probably won't happen anyway though haha.

Agreed, as long as he doesn't look like a dad he's fine. I doubt it happens though too.

I don't really care if the AI movie comes out. I mean, if it comes out I'll watch it and probably find some enjoyment from it but I doubt it'll be anything too special. And whether it ever will come out is questionable

I think if (and that's a big if considering all the times Billie has announced something and it's never happened *cough*Forever now video*cough*) the AI movie does happen, I still want Billie to play St. Jimmy. I never saw the character as a particular age, so I don't think that really matters. And in the musical, I think Billie pulled off the character of St. Jimmy better than anyone else, even though he's not the best of actors. That's because St. Jimmy is essentially a part of Billie - it's a character he made up based on certain aspects of himself. Billie knows how to be St. Jimmy better than anyone because he already is. And I think it'd be incredibly stupid not to cast the real life St. Jimmy in the role when he's right there, willing and able.

Also, this discussion is making me remember how proud Billie really is of the AI album. The fact that he wants to be so involved in first the musical and now the movie really says a lot. And then all the clips in Broadway Idiot of him getting emotional when it was so well-recieved. Man, he clearly put everything he had into that record and it really payed off. I'm so proud of him.
