Popular Post unextraordinarygirl Posted June 3, 2017 Popular Post Posted June 3, 2017 I never liked or appreciated Macy's Day Parade in the past. I always thought it was a terrible song. But yesterday when I was driving home from work I was listening to Warning and when it came on I really listened to the lyrics and thought about it and fell in love with the song. It's one of my favorites on Warning now. I think the lyrics are very deep and meaningful. 9 Quote

Popular Post Libertine Angel Posted June 4, 2017 Popular Post Posted June 4, 2017 Macy's Day Parade is fucking powerful. 7 Quote
Popular Post St. Jonny Posted June 4, 2017 Popular Post Posted June 4, 2017 Definitely some great lyrics there! I think Billie's a genius lyrically, that song is a prime example for sure. 7 Quote
21guns&novacaine Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 I've always loved Macy's Day Parade, just because I loved how Billie's vocals sounded with the guitar. It wasn't until I was quite a bit older, reading through the lyric booklet did I realize how beautifully dark it is. Also, what type of radio stations have you guys had luck hearing Still Breathing on? The current hits channel, classic rock channel, etc? 2 Quote

Popular Post Libertine Angel Posted June 5, 2017 Popular Post Posted June 5, 2017 I've only just discovered this and holy fuck I've been missing out. Honestly if they'd put that on Dos I'd have fucking loved it. Also I just rewatched their Ramones covers at the HoF and my god they look so young. Also I like how Billie couldn't help adding another HEY HO LET'S GO at the end even though it was a crowd of old rich men really not at all suited to punk. 9 Quote
jengd Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 Love this Rolling Stones cover, a big part of me would love to see GD do a covers album but don't think it will ever happen. Am a big fan of Macy's Day Parade, been one of my favourites for a long time, love Billie's vocal, great song all round. 1 Quote
Marki. Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 I looove the Rip This Joint cover, haven't heard that in ages! Definitely one of my favourite covers of all the ones they've done. 1 Quote
Popular Post The Great Saiyaman Posted June 5, 2017 Popular Post Posted June 5, 2017 I feel like the reason I really came around on 21CB is that I started to respect the band as people a lot more. It really made me respect the album and really go from thinking it was just okay to seriously thinking it was great. And I feel like for the first time since I listened to it for the fist time I actually... *breathes* LIKE Know Your Enemy. I know, crazy right? I was listening to it while working out and man that song is so hype! It's a bit repetitive but I actually felt like it made me feel really good and now I think it's a super cool song. I also really like Last Night On Earth now too. Just such a chill song. Definitely gives me an almost post-apocalyptic feeling (Does anyone else get that too? ). 6 Quote
herewegoagain Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 It's kind of immature but I love that Billie's getting more vocal as that 'biggest, fattest, stupidest idiot in the world' is getting more ridiculous 2 Quote
Ordinary Times Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 RevRad album is my lullaby when I put it in low volume. It's just perfect.. Really enjoyed it 3 Quote
21guns&novacaine Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 For anyone that sees this right away, heart like a hand grenade is on in an hour on the AXS channel. on that note, I was casually scrolling through the guide, saw the title and had a dumb moment where I was like 'hey, they stole the title from green day' before I realized it was theirs  2 Quote

WhiteTim Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 I notice Billie's guitar tech is following a very pro Trump very anti Muslim ig page just seems strange lol Quote
St. Jonny Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 That is odd. Perhaps he was sent by Trump, in order to find out the bands plans to bring him down. No, that is weird though. 1 Quote

I've moved your thread into the existing 'Random Green Day Thoughts' topic, as this is the best place to post quick, one-off thoughts that don't quite need their own thread - there'll probably be more discussion about it in here too. The 'Welcome to Paradise' section of the forum and the guidelines have plenty more information to help you get started on GDC. Sorry you couldn't get a ticket to Madrid I'd love to get up on stage with Green Day too, I'm sure it's a dream that lots of us share. Unfortunately, like you said, it's really unlikely to happen, but even if you don't get called up you'll have still seen an awesome rock show, which is well worth going to. Hopefully you're able to see the band live not too long in the future! Well thank you and hopefully i'll see them soon thanks Quote

I guess to be someone's guitar tech you're not going to be grilled on your political opinions anyway, but still. 1 Quote

Jesus of Seneca Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 My vote billie joe button fell off my jacket when I went out the other day, and now they're out of stock. I'm mad Quote
Popular Post Hermione Posted June 14, 2017 Popular Post Posted June 14, 2017 My mum has ruined Church on Sunday for me by suggesting that the line "If I promise to go to church on Sunday, will you go with me on Friday night?" means "If I promise to go to church (with you) on Sunday, will you go (to church) with me on Friday night?" as if they both want to go to church and are just deciding when to go . I can no longer think of it any other way. 7 Quote
pouty bitch Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 When I first listened to Dookie, Having a Blast was one of my least favourites. Now, it's one of my favourites from Dookie. 2 Quote
