Hanging out at a bar in Melbourne, the boys about 5 metres away!

That is random! Pics or it didn't happen but tbh I'd go all :runaround: myself

Yeah they'd probably be more approachable out on the street. Good luck though!

where/what channel is virgin radio?

It's a rock station which broadcasts in many countries but not in the US as far as I know. Here's the link to the Italian one: http://www.virginradio.it/

the entire band/crew were out (minus mike and brit) having a few drinks. security for the band, like harry said was extremely tight, i tried saying a quick hello to billie upon arrival but was very quickly shut down by personal security. tre was very kind to fans and told his personal security to back off so that we could all talk to him personally.
an amazing night! one that ill never forget

Niiiiice! Not at all jealous

Today my friend was giving me a ride home. He's a huge U2 fan, so he was telling me some cool stuff about them. Then I started talking about Green Day and he brought up that they did the Saints Are Coming which I completely forgot about! Then I showed him Letterbomb and he loved it and I hope I've made a new GD friend!

I tend to forget about them doing The Saints Are Coming too :P The weird effects on Billie's voice are bad enough, but then you realise it's a pale imitation of Skids and very few people can match Skids, I mean it can't possibly match this:

I adore GD's version of Working Class Hero! I love how they mix it up a little and make it their own, but still stay true to the song and respect it by having John sing the last few lines

I love it too and couldn't agree more! Adding the drums was a nice touch. Definitely my favourite cover they've done.

I'm Still Breathing. I swear that either getting a GD ticket/waiting to see GD in concert, or listening to an important Newcastle United game will be the death of me. Both have excited me/made me ridiculously nervous in equal measures.

I know that feeling too well.

The ticket-buying struggle is real

Well done on winning the Championship, hopefully we (Fulham) will be joing you in the Prem next season!

Getting a ticket for GD in Sheffield wasn't that difficult- getting tickets for the second leg of our  Play-Off semi-final will probably be harder!

I can't explained how happy/excited I am for tonight.  My son & I & GD in my hometown:runaround:

But I then felt a little sick because I will be half way through my GD holiday:dry:

@Hermione - I can't even remember what I posted in the tour threads but BJ did this huge stage spit in Melbourne & all I could think of was you:D

So my Dad is a big fan of 1970's/1980's bands, among the bands he likes are Bad Company, Free, the Eagles, Queen, and lesser-known British bands from the same period. Whenever I go to a concert with Mum and Dad- the predominantly middle aged crowd look at me as if I'm an alien. They must think its strange that a mid 20-something actually listens to proper bands that can write and play their own music and not the manufactured shite in the charts. Which I why I now go to gigs in my GD shirt so that I don't get evils from the older crowd who just automatically presume that I don't have good taste in music.
