I wanted to introduce her to some of the newer material in a way that wouldn't be completely jarring to her, so I chose which new songs I wanted to include and then picked an old song I thought was a good lead-in to play back-to-back. Usually it was something musically or structurally that made sense for me to put the old song and new song together, although at least one was thematic ("Christie Road" into "Outlaws" for example). I didn't think too much about my choices and I have no musical background whatsoever, so it was a fun little project to work on, completely subjective, and was kind of like putting a puzzle together. I swear I didn't do this on purpose, but when I looked back on my finished playlist I had picked "Pulling Teeth" to be followed up by "Give Me Nocovaine" and I couldn't stop cracking up 😆😆 9 Quote
