It's crazy how listening to Kill The DJ can take me back. I just remembered when I bought Uno, and was still under the pressure that I had to hide my music from my parents, so I'd scrunch up in the back of the car, pretending to listen to music while I read the booklet. It's weird to say I miss those days.

You are the only one, so just listen already.  Think of it this way, every time something was leaked that wasn't supposed to be, Warner had it down within 30 seconds.  This they didn't

Same haha I want to experience the real deal, not the hacked copy.  Plus I have a strict ritual when it comes to Green Day CD's, which includes secluding myself for hours on end, reading the lyrics in the booklet to every song until I know them by heart.

Me too, don't want to hear a second rate download, going to wait although hoping they may stream it slightly early like they did with the trilogy.

That's true but she's not the only one, there are many of us! I think I mentally prepared myself for listening to it on the 7th, it's strange but I can't even get properly excited right now.

Sure I will, everything sounds better on vinyl. Everything played manually, that is (i.e. not electronic stuff).

I already said this in the RevRad thread but I wish I hadn't listened to the leak, just because it's killed my excitement for getting the CD. It really wasn't the listening experience I was hoping for (my own fault of course). I'm definitely going to try not to listen to anything but the singles until I have the lyrics now though, so hopefully it'll still be exciting.

I'm so glad they chose Bang Bang as their first single.

Also, in Still Breathing when he sings "I dodged a bullet and I walked across a land mine" his voice gets so incredibly soft . That song means everything.

I choked up a little last night, for the first time, upon hearing the "as I walked out on the ledge" part in Still Breathing. It was a little random but it just hit me. Goddammit this band!
