fatherotti Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 heres what i want to know why is everyone saying you have to wait like 8 years if they release a new album say in 2016 you'll see them in 2016 at the latest 2017 thats 3 years, max 4 Exactly. And that's not so bad. That's about the same time between AI and 21stCBD. The wait would actually benefit us fans IMO.
Oxymore Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 i'm not mad about this, but is really disgusting have to wait to see your favorite band so many years last time took 12 years to they return to Chile Sympathy. France is an more easy location to consider, but I'm still waiting for my chance.
Tubbie Head Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Exactly. And that's not so bad. That's about the same time between AI and 21stCBD. The wait would actually benefit us fans IMO. I agree with this. Waiting makes things more exciting when they happen, at least for me. Plus we'll probably get loads of side projects/secret shows and stuff like that happening!
Oxymore Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 So if I understood what Billie joe said in the itw the next time will be like: ''oh today ... ... 20.. the new GD album post rehab is out'', like that, without any news before ? But where will the excitment be then ? Excitation had always been as good as the actual outcoming of an album for me !
XXXNoOneKnowsXXX Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 I want to a new album of Pinhead Gunpowder
fatherotti Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 I want to a new album of Pinhead Gunpowder Yeah I hope we also get some new Tubbies and there's no chance in hell but some new Network too.
Flyingdonutz Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 I also feel like i should mention that I have literally never even come close to seeing Green Day live and I'm not bitching so lol you'd have to be really greedy to be mad about this ... this forum always takes Billie's words too seriously. holy fuck the article is so stupid. "Hiatus". If that's the word for it then they've taken a hiatus between every single album besides Dookie and Insomniac. It's called taking a break. It's like people saying LOL YOU DROPPED OUT OF SCHOOL because of summer break.
Brian Gag Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Four dudes spent the better part of two years writing, producing, releasing, promoting, and touring three albums and a documentary - not to one of them wound up in rehab. Somehow in the middle of this, one of the dudes was able to sneak off with a dudette and record a cover album. So now the dudes are saying they'd kind of like some time off from being those dudes, so they can concentrate on maybe being family dudes, hanging out with dudes in other bands, or even just being dudes who like to lay around in pajamas watching reruns.
Asa. Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Sympathy. France is an more easy location to consider, but I'm still waiting for my chance. I am 100% sure they played in France in 2012 and 2013.

Oxymore Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 I am 100% sure they played in France in 2012 and 2013. Exact. I was not in France those years. Of course. It freaked me out so much.
Overjoyyed Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 I'm totally okay with the break (it's a bit sad for us- but they deserve it!) - thankfully I got to see them once in this "era" and that makes a load of difference. I doubt the guys are going to be going in hiding or something. I think we can depend on Mike to keep his instagram updated. Billie kept quite busy in this little break in between Leeds & Australia - Foreverly, Much Ado about Nothing score writing , & his role in the Leighton Meister movie. Plus the guys cameoing in Anchor Man 2. Tre is a wildcard as to if we'll hear from him or not. With all that said- I think we'll still hear from them during the hiatus so it won't be super sad.
tdlyon Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 I like how there's like 10 posts in here telling everyone to "calm down" when pretty much nobody in the thread is freaking out at all lol. As for the news, I'm a little surprised they're not doing a tour for the 20 year Dookie/10 year AI anniversaries (especially because they've been playing Dookie all the way through for a bit now) but if they feel they need a break it's fine with me.
BeachBum Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 holy fuck the article is so stupid. "Hiatus". spark in the night Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 heres what i want to know why is everyone saying you have to wait like 8 years if they release a new album say in 2016 you'll see them in 2016 at the latest 2017 thats 3 years, max 4 Because they haven't toured near me since 2009. So that's already 4 years that I haven't seen them, plus another 2-ish years for whatever may come next. So yeah to me that's like 6-7 years.

So that's already 4 years that I haven't seen them, plus another 2-ish years for whatever may come next. So yeah to me that's like 6-7 years. I haven't seen them in 16. So still not a reason for everyone here to be whining. I like how there's like 10 posts in here telling everyone to "calm down" when pretty much nobody in the thread is freaking out at all lol. I've read a lot of fuckin' posts with people saying it annoys them or surprises them. enough for someone to say something about it. It's more the article saying they're going to be gone for like a decade or something and the OP saying they're going for a long break. It's just a break. Like every other band ever does after relentless touring.
Guest Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 relentless touring. bahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahaha
Connor Finlayson Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Green Days not going to end for a long time Remember what Billie said: http://youtu.be/8Y5XZUutlNk?t=23s

Fuzz Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 bahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahaha try contributing more than something a 5 year old would. if you don't like a conversation, that's hardly a reason to try and drag it further into the ground.
Fuzz Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 NO Itching for a 4th warning point? I'm ready when you are.
Guest Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Fine, if people can't understand my fairly obvious hint in my original post, I think it's incredibly laughable to label the 99 Revolutions tour as "relentless touring". Happy? Also, if you're going after fucking useless posts, try the page own.
