As aforementioned, a few drinks happened before writing this but I think I speak for a lot of people when I say shut up, I mean, just SHUT UP. I try to be nice from time to time but you're so high strung I've lost any sympathy for you whatsoever.

I think you guys are a bit harsh on Youtube videos, they might not be the same as actually being there but they are the next best thing and they can be very enjoyable. I find it exciting to watch videos of shows and it tides me over between seeing real shows just fine. And when I went to see them the first time it was exactly as I'd imagined from watching videos, with a bit of imagination they give a pretty good impression of what it's like. I think the point is there's plenty of other cool Green Day playing live related things to entertain ourselves with while they're not on tour (pictures, videos etc), so it's not so bad.

Indeed! Saw them in Brooklyn, as well as seeing NYC I'll never forget that gig, absolutely amazing.

That and meeting Tré, that was an experience I'll hold dearly because Tré, from what I've heard and known, is a person who is a bit more...secluded, as he likes to keep himself to himself, unlike Billie or Mike who are very open, and being a person who likes to mind his own business isn't a bad thing. I got confused at another users post. Thats all. I have never said anything about their families. I dont care about their families. I was confused about a post. Quit jumping to conclusions when I HAVE NOT SAID ANYTHING. How can I "shut up" when have never said anything. Keep their families out of the thread. It was my confusion not because I decided to write something nasty about a bunch of people I dont care about. There are just there and have no revelvance. Confusion must really make you spit. Sorry about being confused.

Anyway there are loads of live concerts on you tube and DVD - get over the fact that Green Day are taking a break and want to do other things. Its good to do other things. They deserve to chill out a bit. Give them a break. And give me a break.

A little disappointed by the news, mostly because I'm a selfish fuck that would prefer a new album sooner rather than later. The biggest part of this disappointment is the fact that a short vacation from the boys means they won't be hitting up the West Coast anytime soon, and after having my show cancelled and all it's really, really discouraging.

But every person needs a short break from life every once in awhile, and Lord knows this band has earned one with everything they've been able to do in the past 2-3 years. Hopefully they rest up and come at us with some album news in the next year or so. Seeing how this band has played out in the past, I know they won't be able to stay lazy for much longer.

I think it's worth pointing out that Billie Joe said recently I will never make a record and tell anyone again...or something to that effect. I'm not saying anything's going on, I genuinely believe they are taking a break and waiting for the right time...but for all we know there could be stuff going on, they could record a whole album and we wouldn't know a thing. Just like Foreverly, that came out of nowhere and we had no idea at all.

Without meaning to cause rampant speculation, I just wanted to remind everyone that we're talking about a band that has proved to be unpredictable. Whenever they do enter the studio again...I doubt very much that we'll know much/anything about it.

Yeah I'd be surprised if we're left COMPLETELY in the dark when they start recording. Especially now that all the guys are on instagram, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a couple of photos from inside the studio announcing they've started recording or something along those lines Time will tell!

I think the "not telling anyone about recording" thing was just as off the cuff of a statement as the "break" thing. One sentence in an interview that wasn't about that at all, but everyone hangs onto and starts overanalyzing because there's no real news going on right now. I wouldn't start missing it too quickly.

True! Oh god, remember the Green Day/Blink tour rumour last year? That was in some essence pretty awesome, but a lil' research easily debunked the mystery.

The main problem I have with over analysing is when people think they know what's going on, while they can only speculate until something is established. As I see, it's better to be realistic and patient instead of being extremely hopeful only to be disappointed that what you thought was going to happen wasn't meant to be.

Hope isn't a bad thing, mind you. Speculation is pretty fun, but you just need to have possibilities until they are proven facts. Some people get a bit excited for something that hasn't happened yet.
