DookieLukie Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 And because I have a very strong sense of irony, I thought I'd make this thread. Click here to listen to my "Best Of Dos" mix. So yeah. Yay and stuff. I expected a blank playlist...or silence. I'm very disappointed.
Guest Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 I expected a blank playlist...or silence. I'm very disappointed. What? It's a link to Nightlife.
Todd Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Best of Dos mix *no songs* lol edit: fuck you guys for posting that before me and next to Ceadog's ava, I read "dog is a year old"
Alan86 Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Instead of listening to DOS today I might just listen to UNO twice
Guest Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Instead of listening to DOS today I might just listen to UNO twice I was just gonna listen to Stop Drop and Roll but that works too
Cath Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 so that means i listened to nightlife once in the last year? not bad.
Iva Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Hmmm. Dos was the hardest for me to get into (Tre being the easiest and Uno being the moderately easy one to get into); but that was only until I revisited Foxboro Hot Tubs' album and a bunch of proto-punk and power-pop bands. At this point, I have words of praise for almost every song on it. Baby Eyes might even be my favourite song off all the Trilogy songs. Wish it was longer. Wow, That's Loud is their best jam-based song since Chump. Just bloody perfect. Nightlife is an initial shock but once into it, consider yourself addicted. Lady Cobra is a great song to get 60 and 70-somethings into Green Day. My mother often urges me to play it, so she can rock out to it. Fuck Time can also serve for introducing an older person into the band, if they're open-minded enough to tolerate the subject. See You Tonight would make a great intro for a show. And the list goes on...

Spike Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 It's a year old and they haven't put it out of its misery and drowned it yet?
Justin Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 One Year!! maybe they should do a tour to support the trilogy Oh wait, you say they did........
Spike Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 One Year!! maybe they should do a tour to support the trilogy Oh wait, you say they did........ Well they did a tour called 99 Revolutions in support of the 19th anniversary of Dookie, that has to count for something, right?
Clockwise Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 HAPPY BDAY DOS. I LOVE YOU. YOU'RE THE GREATEST ALBUM IN THE HISTORY OF ALBUMS.
Anaïs. Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 HAPPY BDAY DOS. I LOVE YOU. YOU'RE THE GREATEST ALBUM IN THE HISTORY OF ALBUMS. *coughAmericanIdiotWho'sNextTheWhiteAlbumZosoTheDarkSideoftheMoonOKComputerLetItBleedANightattheOperacough*
Spike Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 *coughAmericanIdiotWho'sNextTheWhiteAlbumZosoTheDarkSideoftheMoonOKComputerLetItBleedcough* You did well to limit that to anything less than any other album ever recorded.
Anaïs. Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 You did well to limit that to anything less than any other album ever recorded. Never let it be said that I let a challenge stand.
Spike Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Never let it be said that I let a challenge stand. Only 500? Laaaayzee.
Anaïs. Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Only 500? Laaaayzee. Very well, then. Assimilate this.
Spike Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Very well, then. Assimilate this. Good call. And it doesn't apply to Dos. You, sir, win one internet.
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Oh, Dos. As time goes on I care less and less about you. Lazy Bones, Stray Heart, SWTRLF and Fuck Time are the only songs I even remember at this point. And Nightlife for less than pleasant reasons. and next to Ceadog's ava, I read "dog is a year old" Glad I'm not the only one. Nightlife is an initial shock but once into it, consider yourself addicted. Um, no.
Overjoyyed Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 There are some gems in this album : aka Wild one, Lazy Bones , Stray Heart, Wow that's Loud and Amy. Yay! Green Day music
Oxymore Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Dos for me is: Fuck Time. Not censured, of course. And loud.
