I think it'll be a great album! I liked the interview. I hope we'll see more interviews like that before the release.

I'm surprised/grateful we got even one, considering in the first interview they both mentioned about how stressful press/promotion can be and how this was kind of a pressure-free album to do. There certainly won't be many more interviews to come. They probably did just a handful while they were in NY and it'll be over.

It would be oh so lovely if they did some kind of live duet though. A girl can dream of the Grammys can't she? (Or aren't the American Music Awards in November? That would actually be fucking APPROPRIATE considering this is true American music). Not saying a nomination, just maybe a performance. Random shit like that happens.

Just now got to listen to Long Time Gone, and I like it hugely. It's interesting to hear Billie Joe do a restrained vocal like this, even and focused and without the colors of emotion that come from him when it's his own song. Still and all, this has power because it has intent and that sweetly sinister tone to it - a soft little fuck-you song. :)

Edit: didn't realize there was a second thread, lol!! The other songs sound great from the interview, look forward to hearing the whole thing.

im gonna pray that we get a music video for one/some of the songs. xD

Yeah, right? It seems like one of these records you just need to listen to on repeat because it puts you at total ease and calms your mind.

Stoked for this records, Love the Everly Brothers. This interview was great. Please let them make a record called Norah-Billie in the future! Let it happen! ;)

i think that's a good thing that Billie did that because her mum named him Billie Joe, in tribute to Billy Joel.

So, that means for him that country music means a lot for him and that he remember his mum listening to country music and grow on that music until his teenage years, before becoming a punk rock kid ;)

Billie Joe is named after the female country singer Billie Jo Spears, not Billy Joel.

The other songs are sounding really good too, can't wait for this to come out. Amazon UK is now showing the cd to pre-order, previously it was only showing as an import and unavailable.

I really want to like this and it's great Billie is trying new things, but I hate country music and The Everley Bros, so not much hope really.

Not that keen on Norah either.
