Don't like it. He should stick to punk rock and leave the gipsy songs to others.

You're Internet connection must suffer from about 15 years of latency, 'cause that comment was obviously guided towards Nimrod.

It was Billies idea - period. Its common knowledge the genre of music she writes and that she works with other artists. Why giver her any credit? That is dumb. Sorry. She has no business taking credit for Billie Joes' idea. Period.

I like your logic, it's very unique.

Strangely enough, Bonnie Prince Billy and Dawn McCarthy also released an album of Everly Brothers covers this summer.

Ok am sorry about being really blunt. I geninely think the idea is great, Norah Jones is a beautiful women and vocalist. I read the paragraph on the news again and the interview. In my opnion it was Bilies idea for the project and work with a female vocalist and he had met her before and proformed with her - it was an obvious choice. I am not sure why Adrienne should take any credit for Billies idea and it is clear to me that she stated the obvious. At the end of the day, it was Billie Joes idea. I know I am blunt. you are welcome to disagree - its a free country. Anyway, I wish all the best success for the project and that Billie and Norah sound really nice with each other. I remember listening to "dream" and singing that song by the Everly Brothers and I heard Norahs song Come away With Me. Lovely vocals.

So surprised and excited for this album! I love Norah and love how beautifully her and Billie's voices go together. I love that he's busy, and he's trying new stuff -and NOT just sitting idle. AND I must say, he's looking pretttty good.

Now I just want to drink alone in an old time saloon with this album in the background.

That's so perfectly described! I find Norah's music so sultry and sexy, and this new song puts an old time feel to it. Come Away With Me is one of my favorite albums to sit by myself with a glass of wine and just veg out to; it's a specific mood. Can't wait to hear the rest of foreverly!

I in no way see how Norah Jones was "the obvious". She's not some obscure artist, sure, but it was a great idea on Adrienne's part.

Billie owes most of his great ideas to her :P She was the reason they put Give Me Novocaine on American Idiot. Among a million other good things.

Also can we just all take a moment and enjoy the fact that Billie Joe is wearing his baby face pin on his suit on the cover of an album. That man.

What is this pin you're referring to? I mean I can kind of see it but not really sure what it is.

Thanks.

This is just...I can't. So amazing. I'm so happy about this :)

She wasn't obvious at all. You're really just talking out of your asshole to try and discredit a great idea from Adrienne. You really just need to chill. She recommended Norah Jones and it's a wonderful pairing.

I was wondering this too, but seeing as I'm not here that often, I thought I missed something. Thanks for asking, Marilyn!

I am not trying to do anything at all. It was billies joes idea to duet with a female vocaiist and he met her before and profomed with her.

Why is this a issue Billie himself said Adie was the one who brought up Norah Jones name...

why is this so important to you... theres a interesting question

It's a cute idea. Not the type of music I am into, though. My parents never even listened to that when I was growing up, so it doesn't make me feel nostalgic or anything.

Oh and I really like Billie's voice in that song.

I feel that full credit should be given to Billie for having the idea in the first place. That is all. Its an obvious choice as he met her and proformed with her previously. Personally I think that 100% of the credit for this project should be given to Billie Joe and not anyone else. It about time that Credit should be given to the person who has the orginal ideas first and write the songs especially if its Green Day - give me novocaine is BILIE JOES song. Its just a personal view. I support the project 100% and I also support that Billie should get the credit - all of it. That is all. Nothing more and nothing less.

!00% credit to Billie joe - he had the orginal idea in the first place.

Ok. Then full credit to the Everly Brothers.

Oh. So I suppose their parents - Mr. and Mrs. Everly - don't deserve any credit?

It's the parents who always have to suffer.

I shouldn't love this, but I think I do? I'm not a country person, but their harmonies are lovely.

This motherfucker pulling random shit out of his ass, I swear. If you told me to insert the name of one of the people/bands I stan for in the sentence "_____ doing an album of Everly Brothers songs with Norah Jones," Beej would be pretty low on the list!

Can we talk about how Billie used the phrase "So it was kinda like a … well, I keep saying it was kinda like a blind date" a sentence after talking about Stevie Wonder though

I just listened to the song and it's great!! I can't wait to hear the rest of the album. Someone else mentioned that it reminded them of Johnny Cash and June Carter and I thought the exact same thing. I LOVE that type of music and I freaking love Norah Jones so much... YAY!!!

This was a pleasant twist for the day. I can't wait to see what Billie has in store for us in the next upcoming years. You can never be sure what he'll do

Pumped for this! At the very least, it's an intriguing and unexpected collaboration, but this project could be something that leads to even greater things. I'm in no way suggesting Green Day is going in this direction (nor am I a huge Everly Brothers fan), but I've always believed doing side projects like these help your career in the long run. In the last few years Billie Joe has gone from Broadway to the trilogy and now to this project. Not that there was much doubt before, but this is why we are still going to have Green Day around 20 years from now. To have a lasting career you can't stand still and box yourself in. All the naysayers on this should be happy shit like this happens even if you aren't going to listen to it.

This album is gonna be a win. If anything, it's going to expose a whole new group of people who may not be familiar with BJ or are even turned off by him. This album is going to catch the attention of Green Day, Norah Jones, and Everly Brothers fans with the right amount of promo. It's a fucking good day for music.

Did Adie slap your sister or something you have a deep hatred for her..

pretty good to have 12 new songs when you're not expecting anything

Adrienne didn't "take credit," Billie simply gave her credit while he was talking to the interviewer. I don't think I've ever seen or heard of Adrienne personally taking credit for anything Billie or Green Day does. Billie often mentions her or credits her with things, which makes sense because she's his wife of almost 20 years and clearly cares enough to listen to him bounce his crazy ideas off of her and offer feedback :) I don't quite get where you think she's personally taking credit for any of this!

He doesn't like Adrienne he feels she has too much power over Billie...
