The Disappearing Boy Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 That#s actually ok. Not really my music and I probably won't download the album, but I like their voices together.
fromdecimateddreams Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 I'm not normally a fan of that type of music, but their voices blend beautifully together. I'm really excited to hear the rest.
Judges daughter 93 Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 I really like the fact Billie Joe used his music skills in a project like this. In an interview ha said he had something like this on his mind...it happened, and it's something I really, really like. There's harmony of their voices, ...what can I want more?
Cath Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 i'm not totally into this but it's cool that Billie tries new things and his voice sounds great. but : TOUR BOOKED
November's Storms Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 i'm not totally into this but it's cool that Billie tries new things and his voice sounds great. but : TOUR BOOKED He was joking about that tour. There's probably going to be little or no promotion of this album after it's released.
Spike Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 He was joking about that tour. There's probably going to be little or no promotion of this album after it's released. I think he meant the next Green Day tour? It's kind of ambiguous, but that's what I got from that, as it suggests there won't be a chance to do anything from this album live, which was what the question was about.
Cob Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Billie's voice suits the 50s - 60s sound so well.
WhiteTim Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 I loved the Andre 3000 & Norah Jones song Take Off Your Cool
Spike Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Even though I'm totally not into this style of music I'd get tickets just to experience a close, personal bar gig if they tour worldwide. I can definitely imagine it being like that. Oh my god that would be incredible
halfempty Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 I believe Adrienne is a genius for suggesting Norah to Billie Joe.
Cath Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 He was joking about that tour. There's probably going to be little or no promotion of this album after it's released. i'm talking about a gd tour. he didn't seem like joking.
BringMoreKnives Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Yeah, no. Sorry, not my cup of tea. My dad will be thrilled though, he likes Norah Jones and a bit of Green Day.
mylilPWNy Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Billie Joe singing folk songs?!?! ... I guess Christmas is here early this year...
Fuzz Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 i'm talking about a gd tour. he didn't seem like joking. What are you talking about? He wasn't talking about Green Day.
tdlyon Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 The music isn't my thing but it's awesome seeing him branch out like this, and possibly even reach people that haven't really been exposed to him before. I doubt I'll buy the album but I love the idea of it. Also, his joke about booking a tour with Norah Jones is flying over the head of so many people, jesus christ
Beezey Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 I believe Adrienne is a genius for suggesting Norah to Billie Joe. It was Billies Joes' idea to cover elverly brothers songs with a female vocalist -she just stated the obvious as it is common knowledge that Norah Jones is a folk/jazz/country/pop artist and she colaberates with other musicans alot. All she had done is nothing accept state the obvious again.

Carrot Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 for a second, that mic covering billie's hair made it look like he had a car accident and got a big dent in his head
Beezey Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Ooookay, whatever. Not even gonna start a dumb fuck fight with you. It was Billies idea - period. Its common knowledge the genre of music she writes and that she works with other artists. Why giver her any credit? That is dumb. Sorry. She has no business taking credit for Billie Joes' idea. Period.
Schlappy Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 these are the songs my dad played for me as a kid... Nestalgia EXPLOSION excuse me while i fangirl off a cliff.
Heather. Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 I in no way see how Norah Jones was "the obvious". She's not some obscure artist, sure, but it was a great idea on Adrienne's part. Billie owes most of his great ideas to her She was the reason they put Give Me Novocaine on American Idiot. Among a million other good things. Also can we just all take a moment and enjoy the fact that Billie Joe is wearing his baby face pin on his suit on the cover of an album. That man.
Schlappy Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 billie joe finally living up to his name with a bit of country twang. you couldnt run forever little man
Carrot Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 i think people who never heard of billie joe might think of him as a country singer after seeing this and end getting disappointed hearing american idiot
