Heather. Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 The Billboard 200 Albums chart has been updated and they debuted officially at #40. Didn't check how it fared in the genre-specific charts.
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 What stores have you guys been able to find it at? I went to Walmart yesterday (typically you can find any CD there around here) and they didn't have any...
UNICORN VOMIT Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 There is only one station where I live that plays GD - yesterday I nearly crashed the car because they started to play a track from foreverly and then cut it & the announcer said ooh we won't play that it makes me want to give my sister a special cuddle & then he played a GD song
The Grohl Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 I finally listened to it and it's not bad. I think it's a bit too slow for my tastes, so it's not something I would listen to on a regular basis, but rather when the mood is right.
spacesauce Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 What stores have you guys been able to find it at? I went to Walmart yesterday (typically you can find any CD there around here) and they didn't have any... I've had this problem too. Checked Wal-Mart, Target, and Best Buy and couldn't find it at any.
Nimrod99 Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 I got mine at Target. Also, I noticed something in Barbara Allen. When you hear the "Woo!" it sounds like someone is running back up to the mic or something. I'm pretty sure I'm wrong on that though.
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Finally listened to it yesterday on YouTube. I really don't think I'll listen to it much. Again, I appreciate that they did it but the style's just not something I enjoy. I did like the two songs that gave each of them their own vocal part that wasn't harmonized. I liked when they each got their own moment to shine. I think part of what I didn't like was the constant blending of their voices. I know that's staying true to the originals and how the brothers sang it, but I liked the songs where they sang alone in parts better.

I agree I do love the two songs they didn't harmonize, yet I still love Billie's voice. Maybe that's why they are taking a break to go in a new direction? Just speculation on my part. He truly has an amazing voice! Oh yeah so does Norah lol
spark in the night Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Just found that Simon and Garfunkel did a cover of Barbriallen and Roving Gambler. They're different from B and N's but really cool!
Whatsinaname Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Just found that Simon and Garfunkel did a cover of Barbriallen and Roving Gambler. They're different from B and N's but really cool! I'm listening to this now and thank you for sharing! Songs of a cover of a cover, I'm totally cofusued now lol. Wow the similarties...BJ is at his best!
Hero_Of_The_Hour Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 From Green Day's Facebook: Ireland! Billie Joe and Norah Foreverly has been nominated for Best Roots Album by The Irish Times The Ticket. http://m.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fcomms.irishtimes.com%2Ftheticketawards%2F2013-awards%2F.ashx&h=AAQEm6XQB&s=1 ...actually ANYONE can vote just select "outside Ireland" instead of "county" when asked...so please vote!! I think you have to vote in all the other silly categories too but it only takes 2 mins and just select anything if you have no idea who the artists are lol. Really want Billie & Norah to win
Annie, get your gun Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 The album is being sold here! Unbelievable... but what's even more unbelievable is that it's $101. Can't.
Bastard of 1967 Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Cassette.....wow. Haven't seen one of those in at least a decade! Thx for posting pics of the insert!
burnout_blast Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Have to admit even tho I love Norah I wasnt sure how this would turn out...I love it. BJ is so versatile, talent is not always genius guitar solos and vocals...Being able to go just like that from pop punk to a country album is fuckin talent. I have been trying to get my daughter into GD for years...no luck... she wanted to hear the rest of this album when I put it on in the car when taking her to school! LOL
Bastard of 1967 Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 "Who's Gonna Shoe Your Pretty Little Feet" just got some good lovin' on SiriusXM's "The Coffeehouse". DAY=MADE.
Whatsinaname Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 "Who's Gonna Shoe Your Pretty Little Feet" just got some good lovin' on SiriusXM's "The Coffeehouse". DAY=MADE. You have a litle girl and so do I but she's almost twenty. She's still giving me heart attack! This song haunts me...as does Lightening Express. I think the best harmony is Kentucky. It's hard to chose my favorivate song. It's hard to "Put my little shoes away" Happy to know this is played on Sirirus

alecandstuff Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 So does anyone know where one could find tabs for this album?
Guest Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 So does anyone know where one could find tabs for this album? The songs are almost a century old, pretty sure they've been tabbed countless times over the years. Just google the song name.
alecandstuff Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 The songs are almost a century old, pretty sure they've been tabbed countless times over the years. Just google the song name. Well of course, but I'm looking for the tabs for the one off of this album since some of the songs are played differently than the century old versions they covered
solongfromthestars Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Not sure if this has already been posted but yeah, they gave themselves a fake name when sending out promos so the album wouldn't leak. Ninjas.
Oxymore Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Not sure if this has already been posted but yeah, they gave themselves a fake name when sending out promos so the album wouldn't leak. Ninjas. What's that ?
solongfromthestars Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 What's that ? They send promos out to the press before an album is released so they can listen, review, etc. Normally it'd say "Billie + Norah" (or Green Day for a GD album) but they used a fake name so it wouldn't leak.
