I'll be waiting until release day to listen to it. I kind of enjoy listening to something when I know most other people will.

I downloaded it.... Don't want my parents to hear me listening to it though. They'd be like "wtf?"

That's what headphones are for.

Video for Silver Haired Daddy of Mine

It's a little better than the video for Long Time Gone, but still what is with this trend of boring anticlimactic videos, this is literally just stock footage from old movies

I can see Long Time Gone being at the end of a movie where a main character dies and the camera is zooming out slowly on their body. I don't think it was but I feel like the original was on Breaking Bad.

I think it fits the tone and era of these songs completely. I love that they are doing it this way.

I've got an XM subscription, gonna to try to schedule my day Saturday to get this sumbitch recorded for y'all.

In the meantime...for those waiting til the release for your first listen: keep a tissuebox handy for track #3 (Lightning Express), that's all I have to say.

Where have you been? I've missed you and glad to see your posts again! Tissue box ready and waiting.

I'll be honest, I only liked this post because it indicates that you still know how to long into this site and post. How've you been? :D

Working my ass off! Look, see?? I literally have no ass left whatsoever!

Been busy literally non-stop for about 2-3 months now launching three new systems at the office that we've had in development for over two years. The good news is that for the most part, the rollout's gone a LOT better than healthcare.gov. Then again, that's not saying much.

Anyway, I HAD to get the ass I don't have left anymore back in here what with a big BJA project about to drop. Good to be back even amidst all the craziness at the office!

Ha, I thought you might've changed usernames, I miss it and take forever to figure it out when that happens a lot.

Ah, glad to hear it's going not completely terrible for you then! :D Please do stick around. I'm interested to see how all this pans out and what promo there will be for it after the release date. I'm not going to listen to it until then, most likely.

Sorry to talk about the early leak of the album but... OH SO GOOD ♥♥

Quick and cheap.

Downloaded yesterday ;) ;) and although it is good to hear Billie's voice in a non Green Day context, it is just not my sort of thing.

Down in the Willow Garden...Just wow!

This album sounds so good - nice and relaxing.

I agree the videos are lacking. I guess it is a cliché but mixing clips of Billie Joe and Norah playing would increase my viewing interest. Could be that they have decided to focus on the music and what it means to them than show case themselves.

Of course I can't watch any of the videos.. oh I hate you, GEMA. And the proxy sites don't work for me either. Damn it..

Okay - I finally found a way to make the videos work! Currently watching Billie and Norah comment on the songs, which is super interesting! :) I'm so excited for Friday.. I can't wait to hold that record in my hands and have my first proper listen!

Listening to the album right now, wow, I'm so in love with it! I may not be that fond on this genre of music, but it's so relaxing, and the harmonies of the two voices are beautiful and create unexpected effects...they did an amazing job, and I'm definitely going to buy the album sooner or later
