Oxymore Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 ''I don't feel any shame, I won't apologize'' on JOS part 5. Love it.
don'tdreamitbeit Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 The random solo of about 3 notes in Peacemaker. I thought it was going to be a solo, but it wasn't
StuckWithRob Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 How long that first chord goes on for at the start of 'Wow! That's Loud'
The Disappearing Boy Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 The random solo of about 3 notes in Peacemaker. I thought it was going to be a solo, but it wasn't but it is a solo, isn't it?
HeroesandCons86 Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 The slow intro on Stay The Nigh, the bit in Amy that goes "amy please don't gooooooooooo"
ZSebs Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 The recording of Letterbomb on AAF is from a show I attended, and I have to admit that he may have screamed that because the crowd was pretty dead and he wanted them to start getting into it. xD Crowds in San Diego are notoriously unenthusiastic. Wait, Letterbomb was on AAF? What?
Spike Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 Wait, Letterbomb was on AAF? What? It's a bonus track on the deluxe editions of the audio versions. There's no video as far as I'm aware.
beejeezee Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 In Lazy Bones where that part sounded like it would end, but then it goes again. This, it was probably the best and worst part for me when I listened to Dos for the first time. I was just like "FUCK NO IT CAN'T BE DONE." And then, "BILLIE YOU SHIT YOU BEAUTIFUL LITTLE SHIT GOD YES THANK YOU."
Jon Benjamin Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 The recording of Letterbomb on AAF is from a show I attended, and I have to admit that he may have screamed that because the crowd was pretty dead and he wanted them to start getting into it. xD Crowds in San Diego are notoriously unenthusiastic. He said that all of 2010, it was in the musical.
ZSebs Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 It's a bonus track on the deluxe editions of the audio versions. There's no video as far as I'm aware. OH RIGHT. Duh. How could I forget that? I was so worried I got like a shitty version of it where Letterbomb was not on it
St. Christian Of Suburbia Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 He said that all of 2010, it was in the musical. Oh, is that right? My bad, I didn't realize. Thanks for the info.
Virtue Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 The beginning of "Ashley". It scared the shit out of me the first time I was listening to "Dos"
Awesompawsome Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 There's really not many of these, the vast majority of Green Day's stuff follows the same predictable formula. Back when I was first getting into Green Day, the pause before "DUMBSTRUCK, gonna be stupid" on Waiting always caught me off guard. Fuck I thought the lyric was dumptruck, calling me stupid. Fuck
Spike Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Fuck I thought the lyric was dumptruck, calling me stupid. Fuck Isn't it actually dumbstruck, COLOUR me stupid?
DanPak Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 The bit in "Restless Heart Syndrome" where Billie sings "Know your enemy" and the whole thing just explodes is intense as fuck! Kill the DJ was unexpected, I wasn't sure about it at first. Last of all, when I first heard F.O.D for the first time, I wasn't expecting the whole band to come in at the end
scatteredminority Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 The first time I listened to ¡Dos! I thought that the intro of Wild One sounded a lot like the solo in Lazy Bones, so I thought at first that when Lazy Bones actually ends, there was a second guitar solo breaking in. I also didn't expect "Song of the Century part 2" at the beginning of American Eulogy and 21stCB and See The Light sharing the same intro. The outro in Chump. And obviously All By Myself after listening to Dookie for the first time xD
LPbilliejr Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Definitely Letterbomb at the rock and roll hall of fame "Where will all the Martyrs go when the virus kills itself, and where will we all go when it's too late.....WAOSDFOADFHAFDOHOAJ" That part when it's just billie's voice and then everyone cuts back in is insane my .02
Awesompawsome Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Isn't it actually dumbstruck, COLOUR me stupid? I don't have a clue, that line has perplexed me for ages
Jollyroger118 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 When Billie screams "don't wanna be an American Idiot !" in Homecoming. It's like my favorite part of AI. There's also a lot of recurring themes and words in the trilogy which gives it some substance
R_Z-Log Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Castaway - The last "Lost and Found, trouble bound, castaway." The other times he sings that part, the background music fades away/practically stops. But in the last one it keeps on rocking right through and the first time I heard it it made me fall in love with the song.
St.JimmyxChristiansInferno Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Like a Rat Does Cheese "Suck my dick until you're lips fall off" did not expect that, then again I probably should have Tre writes funny ass lyrics
Spike Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Like a Rat Does Cheese "Suck my dick until you're lips fall off" did not expect that, then again I probably should have Tre writes funny ass lyrics And the way he says it is brilliant. It did take me 5 or 6 listens to be able to get all the way through without laughing so much I couldn't hear what was going on.
