actually as my friend just rightly pointed out, many people were killed throughout history because of age, when they were too old to work. A more modern example, my partner was assaulted in broad daylight, threatened and attempted suicide after related insults because of our relationship. People regularly lose or are denied jobs because of age. So I'm pretty sure that ageism is a serious enough issue, actually - very different but still serious.

Also wow a stranger on a forum has no right to assume mine or my partner's sexuality, neither of us are heterosexual.
