rebel-without-a-clue Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 I just don't see how if his role only lasts about 5-6 minutes how you can really determine if he's good or bad.
Forever Now Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Thanks for the review desertrose! I love all of the new pictures as well.
desertrose Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 MVFF Like Sunday, Like Rain panel Billie Joe Armstrong
Guest Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 I just don't see how if his role only lasts about 5-6 minutes how you can really determine if he's good or bad. Actors have won Oscars for performances shorter than that. It's definitely possible.
Spike Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Film Review - Like Sunday, Like Rain The big question that everyone will be asking is “can Billy Joel Armstrong act?” And the answer is, “yes, erm kind of”. Admittedly he is playing a broke, greasy musician type, so all he had to do was learn to act poor, but he definitely didn’t embarrass himself in the process. Apparently he was really nervous about being in the movie and kept forgetting his lines, which is kinda sweet. Debra Messing (Will and Grace) is also rather formidable as Reggie’s emotionless mother. Despite Billy Joel’s acting, no Green Day is featured in the movie, http://cinehouseuk.blogspot.com/2014/10/film-review-like-sunday-like-rain-2014.html?spref=tw Ah, good old Billy Joel.
Mykee Mexx Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Know what? If I was Billie Joe, I would have done exactly the same. Simply because it´s so much fun and a different thing to do. No matter whether I´m capable of acting or not. If a director wanted me - here I am! Just for the fun and the experience and the excitement.
UNICORN VOMIT Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Going to this tonight! Will let you know tomorrow about the film and what Billie Joe has to say. Thank you desertrose for your posts - not just here but all the threads you post in
laurie_black Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 On tumblr I just saw two blurry pictures someone took at the after party of this, according to the caption Billie was singing Happy Birthday to Adrienne and giving her a cake there.
desertrose Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 I was outside when he did this, but yeah it was sweet.
Hermione Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 How sweet! And cool to see that little bit of interview too
Annie, get your gun Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 A small part? What a bummer, I thought it was going to be a little bit more than that! He looks so cute
Akshat Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 The movie got an 8.9 on imdb so far. Pretty cool I must say
desertrose Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 this is what Bille Joe had to avoid gettnig into the theater before the movie.
Chin for a Day Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 this is what Bille Joe had to avoid gettnig into the theater before the movie. Interesting, he is drinking in one of these photos.
lizziebix Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Interesting, he is drinking in one of these photos.Could be a soda.
Heather. Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Interesting, he is drinking in one of these photos. Not the first time in the last two years. Clearly he can and does drink socially, I assume in moderation. Not a big deal.
BCap Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 It looks like it might be wine (or possibly champagne - the former seems more likely, though). I think one of the big reasons he went into rehab was that he had an addiction to prescription medications (I think for anxiety, unsurprisingly), in addition to excessive drinking. I know Gerard Way was able to start enjoying the occasional drink some time after becoming sober - if you are good about it, it can't hurt (unless you really fuck something up, like with Deryck Whibley - it's quite likely that he will never be able to drink again, lest he actually DIE). In any case, is there a website or official Facebook page for the film?

grene cniht Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Are you guys really saying that you get annoyed if Billie drinks a glass of wine? You must be joking right now.
