Favorite era of Billie's voice?

Ooohh... I don't know

I first heard his voice on American Idiot. And that album pretty much is my favorite for everything...

But in the trilogy now, what he did on Brutal Love... melted my ears, my heart, and everything else.

In what era his voice doesn't sound beautiful, anyway? In the beginning sounded a little sharp; but I remember when I listened to Kerplunk! for the first time and No One Knows sounded so different; so soft and dry, don't know how to describe it well.

And he can go from singing something crazy, with shouts and all, like in Makeout Party for ex. and then on Stray Heart his voice sounds the sweetest And I love that from him, it feels like he can sing anything

This!!! Couldn't say that better myself!:wub:

Insomniac era, because that album had a feeling of a very harcore punk record and billie's voice did that perfectly.

his most talented would be 21st Century Breakdown, but my favourite has to be Insomniac. it was so gritty and had a hardcore vibe to it, i loved it

Sure, sometimes his current live vocals don't pass muster (that Waiting video was a prime example), but most of the time he's pretty on point. Not phenomenal like that JOS video, but he's usually on key and sounds fine. Everyone has ups and downs when it comes to singing, especially when you've been doing it practically non-stop for 25 years. You can't expect him to be completely solid night after night after night. He's gonna slip up every now and then, it's only natural; what all of you are noticing is just that he's been slipping up more and more recently. It's not that his voice has changed or anything, he's just not tuned up and ready to go as well as he was on, say, the 21CB tour.

As for my favorite vocals, I'd say studio-wise I like anything from Nimrod on, and live-wise I'll say 2009-2010.

Definitely 21st Century Breakdown - both on the record and live.

There's something in his voice in the 39/smooth era that is just easily relatable and perfect.

I like the trilogy vocals . Especially walk away. 21cbd is 2nd. I get chills from restless heart syndroms acapella track

39/Smooth or warning. I don't know what's so appealing about vocals on stuff like The Judge's Daughter, but I really like the way he sings it.

39 Smooth/Kerplunk/Dookie era

My favorite era for the sound of his voice is 21st century breakdown, it just sounded so soothing and good, with the trilogy coming in second.

What's your favorite era?

And can someone give me an answer of why it seems like billies voice gets higher and higher per album? XD

American Idiot. I love that "heavy" voice. :P

Nimrod and Dookie.

All really. He's always sounded lovely as he's changed and aged. I adore his voice it's so sweet and soft to listen to, kind of soothing and comforting.

I'd like to mention that the Rev's voice is sex.

Shenanigans and American Idiot for me.
