40? Ha...that's the beginning of your training for the good stuff...how about five days/nights of no (I mean zero) sleep while following the band on tour? Also the best fun you'l ever have :D

ps...being in Ireland right now I'm looking at the same time to wait for them but they aren't playing again till Feb so I am NOT missing this ;)

Billie's sister works there. The baseball game fireworks this summer was for them. During one of the last tours, you could buy a bundle and meet the band or something all as a donation to the hospital. There are more but those are the ones that come to mind quickly. They've been supporting them for quite a long time.

Is there one? Also I'm ready to dance to this anytime. LOVE PEACEMAKER! After a crappy day at work it's the first song I put on in my car for the ride home. Usually over and over again. I really hope they play in full tonight. (and we get a video of it!)

They also donated money from the Oakland Pop Disaster show with Blink 182 back in 2002 or 2001...can't remember which year. The Bridge School Benefit concert that someone mentioned is usually money for the Bridge School which is a music school if I remember right.

The Bridge School event is an event Neil Young organizes every year for the school

Long story short Green Day are a really freaking great bunch of guys who really love helping this childrens hospital and we are all very freaking glad of that because it gives us all something to do tonight and something to talk about for the next week ;)

I've met that guy! He's pretty funny and hopefully for everybody there a good party host!

I must train for this I guess but I ain't got motivation cause I'm not there. So whats the interest to watch the show on YT ? It'll hurt. I'm not masochist :D

At this point I'm fairly sure being a masochist is part of the basic requirements of a Green Day fan... life is just evil like that

I've been listening to 21st breakdown on repeat this week, and they're playing obscure tracks from it, which is awesome!

They always play the great stuff in soundcheck and not the actual gig...bitches!!

That's what I always thought but I didn't want people to know that I'm so passionated, you see...

I went to 2 Pearl Jam concerts and hated both of them because they only played like 1 or 2 of their real hits. I didn't give a fuck about anything else they played.

And I don't know how you can say it is boring to them. They play those songs because they love them. Every time they play Basketcase they have the energy like they are debuting it for the first time. That's one of the things I love most about them.

Not everyone is you though. If I remember correctly you aren't in the band. That is also a very shallow thing to say. Your not a fan of a band if you don't like their deep cuts. Why are you even on this website?

It's for the inevitable "what time is that is X,Y,Z timezone?"

GDC should just have those New York London Tokyo world clocks ticking in its header

Actually I think it's a great idea.
