Little things you'd change in Green Day songs

Make all Tre Cool's songs never exist/performed.

How very dare you!

Take out that weird breathing noise or whatever the fuck it is in Wow! That's Loud. That is so annoying!

When in the song is that? I don't think I've noticed it and I'd like to hear it.

To me, that line is supposed to reflect the absurdity of how people are so quick to jump to medication for any ailment. "Really bad" as in people are childish in how they deal with their pain.

Well put, and I agree.

Right in the beginning after he says "smell your technicolor in your eyes" it sounds like he breathes very sharply into the mic or he rubs his face up against it before he continues

I would change the lyrics in Missing You to

"She's my blood, and she's my soul

I get so lost out in the cold

She's my heart, she's in my mind

I'm missing you on my own time"

It rhymes better and also connects back to Kill The DJ

And if anyone recalls the first video of stray heart, after they finished the first chorus you could hear someone say "Yeaah!" at like the perfect time.

I think it would be cool if Billie like faded in with a yeah at the perfect time. Like an "oh yeah, this sounds awesome" or "fuck yeah" kind of yeah.

It would also kind of connect back to Oh Love on top of the songs already being connected in the first place.

How does that link to Kill the DJ?

Thanks! I hadn't noticed it before but I quite like it , I like having random little things like that to listen out for. The best one is the cough just before the last verse of Prosthetic Head.

"Stop When the Red Lights Flash" should have a much better solo.

Static Age, lower Billie's voice a tad bit.

Not to mention there's an iffy part towards the end of Church on Sunday I would change a bit

Are you talking about the part where the tempo suddenly changes for about two seconds? Like the way they play very briefly makes it sound slower? If that's the part you're talking about, I agree completely. I loooove the song but I kinda hate that part. I've considered editing the song so that it's played the normal way.

Remix Amanda so the intro starts off more powerful. Like Jack did.

And get rid of "she's old enough to bleed now" in Drama Queen. It's really .... distracting from an otherwise beautiful sounding song.

What's funny is I somehow never even noticed the double meaning there until it was brought up on here recently. THANKS FOR RUINING THE SONG, GUYS.

I know a change that Billie would like , make it so the last time he sings "the only thing that's beating" in BOBD the "beating" goes lower. I swear he's done that every single time they've ever played the song live. When we go to Green Day shows my sister and I make a point of looking at each other when he does it and it makes us crack up laughing. Bet he wishes he'd recorded it that way.

I never noticed that! Just went back and listened to the performance from BIAB and heard it straight away, and my jaw actually dropped a little, hahaha.

The fart in Sick of Me just makes me cringe

Pick any other performance and you'll hear the same thing , pretty sure I've never seen one where he doesn't do it.

'We are the class of the class of 13' in 21st Century Breakdown just doesn't sound right. Surely 'We are the class of 13' is sufficient? It just sounds odd to say 'the class of' twice.

I never got that either, sounds like they made it "class of the class of" to make it fit the songs rhythm better. It's still a silly line.

Yeah, it just doesn't sit right!

I'm assuming it could mean: 'We are the class of the over-all class of 13'....but that would sound even worse

It was originally "We are the cries of the class of '13"; you can hear it in the demo version.

exactly what I mean, it just takes me out of the song

Glad I wasn't just imagining this is what it's supposed to be.

I'd take Panic Song's intro away and add a shorter and less boring intro instead.

I guess some people might think that. But for me I find that the intro was awesome. Just my thoughts on it though.

The intro to Panic Song is awesome, but the song after the intro is awesome too, and sometimes I just don't care to sit through the intro just because it's cool. I want some words :P

I'd take out the little "chugga-ahhh' part in Missing You where the guitars stop

This isn't about a song necessarily but I would have released Let Yourself Go or Rusty James or Carpe Diem as the first single from Uno

And MORE SINGLES FROM THE OTHER 2 ALBUMS

Most of the promotion, tv appearances, shows, interviews etc got canceled because of rehab, which I guess is why many singles never go released.

Made the solo in Waiting more distorted

Changed Jason's Guitar sound in BIAB

Yeah, but the trilogy could still have got some more promotion out of singles, because commercially the trilogy flopped.

The albums are great, the imagery is great, but it wasn't as popular chart-wise as it deserved to be.

Its a shame because my GD tribute band play a lot of trilogy songs (99 Revolutions, Nuclear Family, Fuck Time, Lady Cobra etc) and hardly anyone recognises them.

The only songs anyone in pretty much every crowd we've ever played to knows are American Idiot, BOBD, Know Your Enemy, Holiday and Basket Case.

I like that the trilogy wasn't over hyped. the reason for it was tragic of course, but it makes the album kind of cult-y, and I like that.

Another thing, I would add the 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Billie does on 8th Avenue Serenade at the Echoplex to the Studio Version
