Why does the trilogy get so much crap

They're great albums but they leave me wanting one cohesive record instead of 3. I just think things would have been a lot different that way.

I never judge an album from what it sounds. I always wait to hear some live performance of these songs and then there I give my opinion of the tracks, based more how the band works the songs in concerts. And right now, I found very enjoyable songs that worth hear. Carpe diem can me a bit meh in the studio track, but live it's cool.

On a side note: One thing I will say about the trilogy, I don't like the sound of the guitars on it. The guitar sound just seems really weak. The album's sound just lacks a punch, y'know? The guitars should have been a little thicker, not heavier or whatever, just thicker. I do also agree that they probably should have just released like a 14-song album with the best songs from the trilogy.
