Mykee Mexx Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 ...hm... maybe for their music... or parts of it... ?
Jon Benjamin Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Because Jeff Matika is the most talented and incredible man in the world.
LisaBJA Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 because they helped me a lot because their music is awesome because Billie is so hot because the band is amazing because they make good music
Annie, get your gun Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Because no matter how sad or angry I can be, they always make me laugh (cheer me up!) AND because Green Day was officially consolidated after Tré joined, so without him, I don't what would we do
JellyTime Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Do I need a reason? They just exist. It's enough for me.
The Grouch is Tracy Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Whether it's because you love billie joe's puffy hair (I know I do) or whether they helped arise the inner rebel or its because your mom liked them first (I doubt so), all of us have a reason to love the guys and the band and everything they have become. I feel that there are different reasons, and I thought you might like to share some of the reasons why you love them Hey now....... us moms can love Green Day too..... My inner demon of rage and love remains completely unaffected by age or parenthood!
Insomniac1984 Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Because they are GREEN DAY and they are the soundtrack of my fucking life!!!
jengd Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 I have to say that I have never used this before, you will probably see why as you (if) you read on. My first gig was to see Souxsie and the Banshees (snuck in, too young) a very, very long time ago. I loved punk the first time around but always the more melodic bands and despaired for years over the c*** that was on the radio and tv (still do most of the time, if anything it's worse), boring, soulless rubbish. Then came Green Day - the first band in a long time with visceral rock and roll (however you want to describe it) you could feel in your internal organs as well as hear it! So I love the driven melodies, love the witty, clever lyrics, love the tremendous talent that is BJA, love the tremendous talent that Tre and Mike and now Jason have and also love their humour and feeling of family/community. However you describe them they are true to themselves and not afraid to try new things, push themselves and keep things alive..... and then I saw them live. Green Day live is like a drug for me, I can't get enough. I have seen many bands over the years, some of the biggest names in the world (Stranglers, Fleetwood Mac, Genesis, Foo Fighters, Muse, David Bowie to name just a few) and Green Day wipe the floor with everyone else. Oh and that comment about your mum, I'm nearly old enough to be Billie's mum but oh boy, is he hot! Never too old to fangirl out.....
Rock_N_Roll_Girlfriend Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Because they literally Taught Me How To Live. Because when I started listening to them I became a totally different person and did things I was afraid to do in the past because I though I had no chance! Because every time a song plays my heart skips a beat from joy!!!! Because I find my self in their songs!!! Because I feel like I know them for ages, although I haven't seen them in person!! All these and 10000 other reasons...!! I love these crazy dudes!!!!
Neurotics Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 When i first bought Green Day International Supervideos I had never heard most of the songs on it except few Dookie singles. I felt sad when i waited for Last Ride In to start but it never did. I couldn't believe it I played it again thinking I must have missed the vocal part. How many of u guys had the same experience?
Pineapple Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I wouldn't even know where to begin so I guess I'll just say - because its hard not too.
