musso_kn Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Yes of course. Hope is the last one to die (also join us on the Brixton show thread, it's happening right now) I shall!
SamMacs Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 What I really hope for the broadcast is that Jason Freese's keyboard is buried deep down in the mix during Dookie (I mean extremely deep down, so that you can't hear it basically). He seems to have been around on most old songs last night but I remember watching the Rock Am Ring stream and Waiting & Nice Guys Finish Last were almost ruined by the organ because it was up front in the mix and didn't suit the songs. And if the BBC don't show the entire concert then all of Dookie & Brutal Love have got to be in the broadcast.

I really don't understand why he's playing songs that don't need an organ... even the trilogy songs that doesn't have a piano in studio
Sanity Loan Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Very good point. It would be MASSIVE for this to happen (I really hope it does), and a great acknowledgement for the band, but are GDA editors being seduced by the enthusiasm of the younger members in this thread?. No, I was not being seduced. I was going off of what BCC had on their schedule. It said 9:00pm to 11:30pm for Green Day. Don't worry, we don't make up things just to sounds official. If we don't know or aren't sure, we will specifically state that

If we don't know or aren't sure, we will specifically state thatIIRC (but last week seems a long time ago), I believe the words 'entire set' or something similar were used, which is not mentioned on the BBC site. To the BBC it is just a program title, and something which a few of us had raised in the thread earlier. IMO a wrong assumption was made or implied, and by many others, and worth pointing out.I am not questioning the overall accuracy of the GDA news section, you guys do some top-notch stuff.Fingers crossed they show the whole set though.
musso_kn Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 So I just went to place a reminder on my Sky box and it on my TV guide it says Green Day will now been shown on BBC from 10:30pm to 11:30pm. The bastards have cut it!
ThranaM Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 WHAT. THE. FUCK. I say scew Green Days managment. ALWAYS.
Australian1diot Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 I bet that they'll play DRB because Billie said in the Idiot Nation question 'thingy mah bob' that they will consider it, he mentioned that they should do it with playing Dookie too, DIRTY ROTTEN DOOKIE!!! Seems possible, but until then... RKUG HKUIWHKIHKSIUH FFEIUHFIAEUHF QEULH FQ IFHAJSFN DOUWENF OE
ThranaM Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 It says on the BBC Three website: 10:30 - 11:30 FUCK OFF
tvrman Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Sometimes I hate being right. Keep an eye on the BBC red button tomorrow evening, jic there is something on there as well. Ditto for Saturday when they are in Leeds.Just remembered, expect replays of Friday nights BBC3 show via the red button on saturday and maybe even sunday, and even online (prob UK only).
ThranaM Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 This means that if they play all of Dookie, we won't see shit. We'll get from around F.O.D, then over to Minority, and encore
tvrman Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 oh well! i'd rather have a stream of the latter part of their set anyway so we can see brutal love It will not be the latter part, they will just use a selection of songs that may or may not include all of the encore.
Hermione Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Yeah I'm not expecting it to be the whole set. But I'm gonna enjoy whatever they show!
lizziebix Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Yeah I'm not expecting it to be the whole set. But I'm gonna enjoy whatever they show! This, since it feels like months since I've seen them live.
Tubbie Head Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 It will not be the latter part, they will just use a selection of songs that may or may not include all of the encore. so it won't be live? BOOOOOOOO
Sanity Loan Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 IIRC (but last week seems a long time ago), I believe the words 'entire set' or something similar were used, which is not mentioned on the BBC site. IMO a wrong assumption was made or implied, and by many others, and worth pointing out.I am not questioning the overall accuracy of the GDA news section, you guys do some top-notch stuff.Fingers crossed they show the whole set though.Yep, I know exactly what you mean. Sure, I could have certainly been over-assuming in my news post, that is definitely a possibility. But from what we've seen, it looks like it will be the band's entire set. And we actually had one person email us saying that her brother works for BBC and say that the live stream may not work outside of the UK and that it is the band's entire set. We'll see I appreciate the concern, because it is pretty unclear at this point. Let's just hope for the best!
JIGD13 Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 So guys help me what time will they show the show in the UK and the stream link
Andrew Kennedy Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 ok i live in the usa in massachusetts so what time would it start EST???
robinlovesbillie Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 uh, has anybody been able to access BCC THREE???????
Cath Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 if i won't be able to watch it live because i'll be working, i guess i'll be able to watch it after?
Justin Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Last year BBC Three originally stated they were showing Paramore in the coverage and that never happened. BBC Three always jump the gun when it comes to these things. I mean a few years back i think it was Live8 soon as Metallica came on they went to another country.
tdlyon Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Honestly, I'd rather see the latter half of the set than the former. We haven't had any proshot footage of any of that for this tour.
aldyofficial Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 what is the url link to watch the stream? I go to bbc three websites that host the stream but they said that I had to live in UK.. my dad didn't accept my offer to live there..
