Being realistic, the program will include Green Day, it will not be all Green Day. Normally BBC3 shows about 1hr of the headline act at Reading, but as it is BBC that hour has no ad content.

Well there's the foo fighters set from last year which is 2 and a half hours and it was on tv so green day may be the same way

Possibility of a whole set?

 I'll be keeping my neighbours up that night.

They'll be showing Em's full set they want to make as much money as they can for as much as Em charges to perform

You'd think that'd be the case... But Em has good management, 2 years ago at V Festival he got paid £2million ($3million) and still didnt allow his set to be shown on tv!

I am not saying it will not happen, but trying to set expectations a little lower. Obviously we do not know the contracts between all parties, so we wait and see.

I'll definitely be watching and hoping for something new and exciting about the show. And for people asking how to watch it outside the UK, you can use google chrome and the extension Media Hint and watch it on the BBC iplayer.

Ahh

And yeah Paul is a great manager but Em's million plus price tag has more to do with demand and the fact Em has only done a handful of shows in the last 8 years less than 20 very rare you have one of the highest selling artists that refuses to tour or perform much (a promotor offered 15 mil for 2 shows turned down) im sure they'll air at least a song or two Reading has a little more clout than V Fest

Oh my god this is the best news ever. We will have another live streaming thread here, it's so fun  And idk what "presenting coverage" actually means but I love Greg James, I often listen him on BBC R1 so it's gonna be even more awesome

Can we watch the show on that site that was linked?

awesome news, and im seeing them at Leeds the day after :)

Hell yeah, Bring Me The Horizon is on the same stage as Green Day. They used to be a shitty scene band but their new album is incredible. Like indie/ambient post hardcore.

Actually I think usually it is full set and they are usually on for the full time as it will say 'Green day at reading' it did last year with Foo The Cure and Kasabain , I believe the cure encore was cut to one song though

And because they are Green Day, they don't ever have to do something that's new and exciting?

I think it'd be nice to see something that's at least a little different from the exact same greatest hits orientated concert I was at earlier this summer and the Rock am Ring stream I saw. I always find it more interesting not knowing exactly what to get next.

if he played X-Kid & Brutal Love and we get a proshotr of those songs I'm already happy

AWESOME!

They showed about 30 mins last year from the 'surprise' show at Reading. Maybe they got a big demand for more, and remembered for this year. I'm pretty sure I emailed asking for the full set to be shown (but never got a reply, of course).

Omg, awesome news!!! :runaround::dance:

I just hope i can watch it, it's the livestream just for Europe? :ermm:

I'm not sure if I want to see myself on TV or on youtube the next day. Being on TV sounds so scary.

Besides that it's really great to be able to watch it later on when the actual day of the show is long gone.
