Best moment of your 99 Revolutions Tour

Other than Bohemian Rhapsody which was like the most weirdly intimate moment of my life there was a moment during Jesus of Suburbia where everybody was dancing and just totally in the moment and it felt like the Nightmare Before Christmas when they're all singing This Is Halloween and stuff. Everybody was just so lost in it, it felt like an actual revolution

How can you choose your favourite moment of your first Green Day concert, first concert ever, after 8 years of not so patient waiting?! I think it took me a while to realize my dream was actually coming true.

I remember arriving in Trieste, almost running to reach the queue...I passed in front of the square, seeing the stage for the first time and I skipped a heartbeat; since then the excitement just kept growing! When I reached the queue, and I saw all those people with Green Day t-shirts, listening and singing Green Day songs, well, I thought, this is my world, these are the people I share my biggest passion with, that can understand my love for this band! And then I met Mary, Florence, and Anna, you wondeful GDCers, I've been so lucky to have you there with me!

Then waiting. Waiting. Waiting. And then RUNNING.

Until we got there. First fucking row. Who cares about the rain, first row. I hanged on the barrier. Nobody could make me move from there. It was overwhelming.

Memories of the concert itself are a mix of screamings, jumping, trying to take some pictures in spite of the rain, and emotions emotions emotions.

The best thing was seeing Billie, Mike and Trè smiling, always, and with so much joy, the same I was feeling seeing my heroes so close to me, playing the songs that changed my life.

Nuclear Family was a highlight, I remember thinking Mike for a moment smiled at me during Oh Love, singing every single line, laughing at Billie throwing toilet paper and tshirts...

Everything I've always seen on Youtube videos, everything I've always dreamed of, it was true, I was there, I listened to Jesus Of Suburbia, 2000 Light Years Away with the band playing some metres away from me!

In short, I cannot have one best moment...I had the best day of my life, the best memories thanks to Green Day.

owww Trieste, best day of my life too :) maybe we were close to each other!

Well I doubt you would recognize me  I'm short and that day I was wearing a leather jacket with Green Day pins on it...I was with other two GDCers, Florence and Mary, and on our left there was a super annoying mother with her 8-year-old child  and we were right in front of the loudspeakers!

:woot: I was the girl with glasses! And I was wearing a houndstooth leggings. (you probably didn't recognize me, but maybe while we were waiting :o ) I was on the right side in front of the speakers with Anna & Mary

Mike winking and smiling at me during the first song basically made me die right on the spot, I guess. And then Billie actually laughing a little when he saw my sign asking him to pick me for Longview (and I didn't get chosen but at least my goal remains  ).

Seeing Green Day live in March was splendid! Met a bunch if cool people and some gdcers. Also Billie Joe jacking off and crotch thrusting in front of me was awesome. Oh and he smiled at me, which was also awesome.

My top moment was probably...you know...watching them...play...?

I swear to god I recognize you from twitter.

I don't have a moment unfortunately. :( I've never been to a single Green Day concert. So, I'll just read other's moments.

The Pittsburgh show was amazing in general, probably the best one I've ever been to. But when I got knocked out by the stage dive in Longview, Eddie walked up to me in first aid and said "Mike asked me to give you this."

It was the jacket he'd been wearing for the last few shows. I was so touched by how much he cared and just super happy in general, because the show had been amazing anyway and then that happened. When I thanked him on Instagram he replied and said he was glad they got the jacket to me. For a couple of months after the gig, whenever I felt sad I thought of that and cheered up again.

That one comes first of course, but another one that's at the top is when they started Stray Heart in Chicago. I totally lost my shit and Billie laughed at me. I was so happy to hear that song for the first time.

I second this. :)

And I keep on repeating: I waited for 18 years, due to various mishaps.

I only waited 8, so I can't imagine 18, but I do know how you'll feel when it finally happens! Just try to make a point to mentally record it -- I can't remember hardly anything because I was literally in shock/overwhelmed. I was at the amazing Pittsburgh show Maria Gloria was talking about. Luckily I was on the opposite side of the pit... sounds like it was a bit rougher on her side... but it worked out in the end. That jacket is sweet!

It really was an amazing show. My side actually wasn't that rough, it was just that damn stage dive!

Oh, the first thing is that they finally played Letterbomb, which is my favorite AI song...and that was the first time they played in Russia

And the second and the most amazing fact is that we were waiting them near the hotel...and than followed their minivan all the way to the airport

Tre was like LOL and waving his hand to us. And ofcourse he gave us an autograph and asked me not to make a tattoo based on it

That was just crazy!

My favorite moment of the 99 Revolutions tour is when Billie Joe leaned over the stage and pointed to me and tossed me his pick during the bridge of Stay the Night in LA. He also screamed, "Catch this Mother Fucker!"

This thread is so heartwarming.

This thread makes me want to watch my videos I took during the Pittsburgh show, but I still can't bring myself to do it 5 months later. 1) Because it will make me sad. 2) Because my quivering cry-singing voice is so embarrassing.

I think this thread is simply amazing. All our thoughts, all our emotions, all our experiences. Sometimes they are the same, sometimes they are different, but all of this things are just for a big cause : Green Day :)
I have other moments of this tour.

- In Trieste, before BJ called me on stage, he took my flag. That flag was a part of my history with Green Day. I had that flag in 2010 (erased show in Venice) and 2012 (erased show in Bologna), and on that flag I wrote "Italy loves Green Day". Before Stray Heart BJ tooks my flag and came to sing "I'll never stray again from you" in front of me, pointing me with his finger

- Also this video comes from the gig in Trieste. I saw them in 2009 in Milan, and after 2 erased shows, they comes on stage and my happiness was incredible.

- This is from the gig in Rome. They started to play Waiting, one of my fav ever...And I started to cry because I was really Waiting to see them again after 2 weeks :)

When Billie Joe saw me in the front row with the book that I wrote about my two decades worth of adventures at Green Day shows. He told me to toss the book onstage, then knelt down and let me take a picture of him holding it. I have this picture blown up to poster size and framed on my wall.

Ok, first of all that's amazing. Second, it's nice to see another Baltimorean!!! Were you at the Patriot Center show on April 4th?

I would have to say the whole of the Emirates Stadium performance. Especially when Tre dressed up and put on a rather large bra, and a hat.
