I saw them in Trieste and Vienna this year
The setlist in Vienna blew my mind :ga: Dookie in full :wub:S7KYx6H.png oh man! Nuclear Family in Trieste was also a nice surprise <3 During the guitar solo of Burnout (in Trieste) I held up my "Holy Fuckballs!" sign, Billie saw it, smiled and then showed us the back of Blue. kfjgljkgfhljgh I made him smile S7KYx6H.png
In Vienna I caught a bit toilet paper. YAY!
And I got to meet some awesome GDCers at both shows <3

Mine is easy. I had a broken foot, and had a big boot cast thing on for the gig at the emirates. I promised myself I'd take it (semi) easy. As soon as the boys came on stage I started jumping about mental. I never stopped for the full concert - apart from slower parts of songs. Various people were asking how I could jump around with the boot on...My reply was simply "it's Green Day. How can I not jump around?" Just seeing the expressions on peoples faces was priceless.

I also really loved when Billie Joe left us to sing Boulevard of Broken Dreams...the whole stadium just took over lol.

Really cant wait til they come back to the UK.

Oh and just a little FYI...my foot remained intact after the gig, but I re-broke it when I went back to playing football/soccer lol

Aaah - I'd forgotten the BOBD bit - how could I? It was really special. Any videos of this? Just to make to me tear up.

That bit where Billie quietly whispered "joy" into the microphone, just once.

I'm gunna break yer fackin fingers mate I s2g

when they walked out at Emirates was my highlight, easily. I cried like a bitch and I've never felt a happiness like it before.

Id probably say when Green day walked on at the Emirates stadium show, I dunno why so much happiness came over me and forced a smile. I had to hold back the fucking tears for a few seconds haha.

Didn't think I could get any happier than this moment. Then they played Missing You!!!!

When they played missing you I actually screamed woooooooooooooo lol...I love the song and didn't expect it :D

I have to say: when they played waiting in bologna. I mean, they played waiting at my first concert after a really life time I've been waiting for them. My bad luck of the past 4 years went away!

Our bad luck :P

I was at three shows, but the best moment was - of course - concert in Poland  It was so beautiful to see them in my country after eight years of waiting.

Meeting Tré after the show in Brooklyn. You could see the whole band was happy to be back. Billie Joe smiled smiled at me and during the show he said New York is his favorite place besides San Francisco.

My favorite moments of course, were from my show in Phoenix. We had the 2nd show on the tour and you could tell they were all getting comfortable with their stride again.

First, was when me and my sister showed up the venue, and were freaked out by the insanely long line, which wrapped around the parking lot almost twice. We would have been there earlier, but my sister got off work late. Anyway, we went all the way to the back of the line and just waited. We saw a security guy walking up and down the line asking who was on Green Day's "guest list." Then he asked who got their tickets through the Idiot Club, and me and my sister raised our hands. He told us "You guys are in the wrong line. You need to be in the one all the way at the front with no people in it." Just hearing everyone's envious moans and seeing our names on the "Guest List" was an interesting start.

Next, of course, was the "Bohemian Rhapsody" sing-along. I had no idea other shows did the same thing, but I was just so overwhelmed at how everyone got into it and started moshing. And when the guys came out to the "Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" theme, it was magical.

I feel like this might turn into a recap, so I'll just summarize some of the highlights: getting THISCLOSE to Mike fucking Dirnt; blowing kisses to Jason and Mike the whole night (and receiving a wink from the latter, still don't know how I stayed conscious); Billie spraying me directly in the face with the water gun and seeing him laugh about it after; and freaking LETTERBOMB.

Also, it didn't happen at my show, sadly, but I LOVED the live compilation video someone posted to YouTube of "Brutal Love."

I miss them already <3

The best moment was when billie joe praised Canada's free healthcare system with the giant maple leaf flag. nuff said.

or, when he played the drums and the base. also, when he burst out into '99 revolutions'. it was great to see him full of life and energy, knowing that he was a good time entertaining the arena

(Mine was April 11, Toronto)

Before Green Day even came on, it was amazing because the crowd sang along to Bohemian Rhapsody (we were much more quiet compared to the viral version, however)

They walked out onstage, and at one point during the first few songs, billie kind of just laid on stage worshipping us or something... I was laughing hysterically

During St.Jimmy, Billie dropped the microphone, and broke it, so when the rest of the guys started playing longview, we had no idea why we couldn't hear billie, so the crowd just sang the first verse.

Oh, there was also of course a health care rant.

Billie told us we were better singers than all of the United States.

Mike Dirnt was declared the star goalie of the Toronto Maple Leafs

Tre's bra in general.

Throughout the whole concert I had a huge smile on my face, and I was shaking for the entire two hours. Oh and the fact that they came on stage 15 minutes early!

I went to the Berkeley show in April and it was by far the most emotional Green Day show I've been to yet.

I skipped school that day and got to the front of the Greek Theatre at around 11. I waited in like until gates opened and I got to talk to some awesome fans to pass the time. As the soundcheck started and I heard them playing songs like Nuclear Family and Drama Queen, my heart was racing and I got a huge jolt of excitement.

When the guys finally took the stage and began playing 99 Revolutions, I just freaked out. But the best part was when they began to play X-Kid. I was just thinking to myself, "Fuck everybody, my idols are right infront of me. This is the best concert of my life." I've never screamed so loud in my life. Absolutely amazing experience.

How can you choose your favourite moment of your first Green Day concert, first concert ever, after 8 years of not so patient waiting?! I think it took me a while to realize my dream was actually coming true.

I remember arriving in Trieste, almost running to reach the queue...I passed in front of the square, seeing the stage for the first time and I skipped a heartbeat; since then the excitement just kept growing! When I reached the queue, and I saw all those people with Green Day t-shirts, listening and singing Green Day songs, well, I thought, this is my world, these are the people I share my biggest passion with, that can understand my love for this band! And then I met Mary, Florence, and Anna, you wondeful GDCers, I've been so lucky to have you there with me!

Then waiting. Waiting. Waiting. And then RUNNING.

Until we got there. First fucking row. Who cares about the rain, first row. I hanged on the barrier. Nobody could make me move from there. It was overwhelming.

Memories of the concert itself are a mix of screamings, jumping, trying to take some pictures in spite of the rain, and emotions emotions emotions.

The best thing was seeing Billie, Mike and Trè smiling, always, and with so much joy, the same I was feeling seeing my heroes so close to me, playing the songs that changed my life.

Nuclear Family was a highlight, I remember thinking Mike for a moment smiled at me during Oh Love, singing every single line, laughing at Billie throwing toilet paper and tshirts...

Everything I've always seen on Youtube videos, everything I've always dreamed of, it was true, I was there, I listened to Jesus Of Suburbia, 2000 Light Years Away with the band playing some metres away from me!

In short, I cannot have one best moment...I had the best day of my life, the best memories thanks to Green Day.

When Billie Joe saw me in the front row with the book that I wrote about my two decades worth of adventures at Green Day shows. He told me to toss the book onstage, then knelt down and let me take a picture of him holding it. I have this picture blown up to poster size and framed on my wall.
