WorryRock02 Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 may only be a temporary installation. however i'm sure they recorded the full show at Rock in Roma ( from the drunk bunny to Time of your life). Greg recorded the full set. However...lets' wait..and ... any date's going to be: they are green day! This 'd be amazing anyway!
gdpony Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 This is great! I love that non Green Day fans get to see how amazing their shows are!
scottrowan200 Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 It's rock am ring. Google MTV world stage. As I sed most then in past are rock am ring
k-ramba Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 I checked, and yes, they still do! The next World Stage will be on friday. Probably Tokio Hotel, but I have no idea. It said nothing, but there was a picture of Tokio Hotel. Maybe there is a world stage every friday, but I wouldn't know because I never watch VIVA and it's just as stupid as MTV is. I don't even like to watch the charts anymore because most of it is bullshit and people don't like to listen to rock music anymore... not as much as before... http://www.fernsehserien.de/mtv-world-stage/sendetermine There you go. Seems like VIVA will air it one day after MTV. Only applies for Germany, sorry folks.
ThranaM Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Rock AM Ring is the only concert til now that has professional recordings with cameras and microphones. Not only two guys who stands in front of the stage recording for the big screens, but a whole crew recording in many angles. That is why I think it's from Rock AM Ring. Also, like the commerical above it shows Billie Joe using the ebony guitar, which he only uses in the encore. And as you know, we didn't see the encore from the show.
Sir Psycho Sexy Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 actually the main reason why they cut the show was because the other (shitty and rude :angry) band named casper started playing. lol casper i hope it's gonna be something different than Rock am Ring though. the Emirates would be huge. Nope, someone from Green Day (managment probably) allowed only 100 minutes of show to be broadcasted edit: yeah, someone already answered you
Elena Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 aw but damn, i'd love it if it wasn't rock am ring but rock im park, cos they filmed absolutely nothing there and all videos of that concert are in crappy quality or just half of the song or anything like that....and we already have 100 minutes of rock am ring in an amazing quality...and i was at rock im park (yep, that's also a relevant reason xD jk)
Beathe. Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 I'm guessing on Rock Am Ring as well, I'm happy whatever show it will be. Idk man, at the Emirates show there were 60,000 people and according to Mike there were 85,000 in Sweden. Maybe it will be Sweden. There weren't 85 000 at the Sweden show. He was just kidding, it was probably around 20 000.
Berkeley Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Doesn't a show of MTV World Stage last roughly 45 minutes? Dookie would perfectly fit into it, but I hope they won't put Dookie on World Stage... They could easily use this as some kind of promo: 99 Revolutions, Stay the Night, Stop When the Red Lights Flash, Letterbomb, Oh Love, Stray Heart, Waiting, Longview, X-Kid, Brutal Love .. or something like this.
Tubbie Head Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Aw I haven't thought about the Rock am Ring thing... It'll probably be that one. But I still hope it isn't! Would be awesome if it was the Emirates Stadium show!! Either way, can't wait to see GD on TV in high definition, I haven't in a long time! Rock AM Ring is the only concert til now that has professional recordings with cameras and microphones. Well then if they show some songs that didn't air before I'd be very happy!

All of the shows are recorded and filmed for archival purposes. So it could be any show really. Even if promo shows the Rock AM Ring it could be any show until we get a solid conformation from MTV.
ThranaM Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Last time they showed Green Day on MTV World Stage, they only aired 9 songs. This is the complete setlist. This makes me think its Rock Am Ring even more.

Even if promo shows the Rock AM Ring it could be any show until we get a solid conformation from MTV. They normally only air shows filmed with a crane and stuff like this. These two or three camera people which are at every GD show aren't enough. Possible shows for World Stage are Rock am Ring, Rock im Park, Pinkpop and Rock Werchter, because there was TV filming equipment.
LisaBJA Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 So bad that I won't see it , because I'm in holiday during this time (in USA)
ThranaM Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 So bad that I won't see it , because I'm in holiday during this time (in USA) I guess it will be up on YouTube right after If not, someone on GDC will have it probably!
GreenRocking Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 There were not that many shows in the last months. Maybe I will watch all YouTube Videos to find out, where they used a camera crane. In my opinion they definitely used a camera crane for the world stage show, because otherwise they can't afford the quality. That they aired just 100min of the Rock Am Ring show isn't a hint, that they will use the rest of the show for world stage, but the fact, that they used the footage of Rock am Ring in the Promo is is a big hint. Why should they get the footage, when it isn't the footage they air?

Insomniac90 Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 I was at the Rock am Ring show and I also think the crowd sucked But still hoping for the full show. Hopefully they show a Green Day concert and not just from a festival. Rock am Ring wasn't filmed by MTV (they don't sponsor it since 2010) so it could be another show. And World Stage showed only 9 songs on MTV but the cinema version of World Stage Munich had 90 minutes or so (including Minority, She, St. Jimmy,...). And RaR was aired on HD on EinsPlus HD, I recorded the 3 days on HD

scottrowan200 Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 sorry if it's the wrong thread but I'm always wondering if there's a download of the cinema version of Munich? also really want this
Ross_19 Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Do we know yet for sure which show will be shown on the program?
Tubbie Head Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 It would be cool if they did the cinema thing again. It was awesome to see GD on a big screen!!
Mary711 Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 It would be cool if they did the cinema thing again. It was awesome to see GD on a big screen!! Completely agree with this. Though I hope it's not RaR since they already showed a lot of it as a livestream and festival crowds aren't the best ones to transport the actual atmosphere of a Green Day show in my opinion. I'd prefer for it to be an outdoor show, too. Personally I'm hoping for Vienna. We got Dookie and it was one of the shows I enjoyed the most.
