deletethisaccount Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Missing You would be a rad single. That chorus would catch on so well, the bridge will be looked forward to, and that last censored "fuck" in the lyrics will be enough to get any 13 year old excited.
Beathe. Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 I don't have controll over which songs that's been singles so far. Missing you would be great anyway.
pisquano Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 I'm pretty sure there won't be another single release.
Otis Big Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 I really don't think that it should be 99 Revolutions because the song was a little late as it is. It has really good lyrics and a great meaning but it is a little repetitive. I think that Sex, Drugs, and Violence is the best song off of the album, but I don't think it would make a very good single. I think that 8th Ave Serenade would make a good single if it had a bit of a better sound. Missing You would probably have to be the best song to have as a next single.
Cameron. Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Absolutely voted "end the trilogy promotion" and am proud.
Cath Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 the option ''end the trilogy promotion'' wasn't there when i voted but i think that's what's gonna happen. they gonna move on after the tour.
Eva Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Even though I think 99 Revolutions is a little bland to be a single, it's probably the best choice. Seeing as Green Day named their tour the 99 Revolutions Tour, it makes sense.
Yaz. Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Missing You. It's a gorgeous song and it's finally getting shared with a larger amount of people because it's been played so much recently at shows.
Dillwad Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Surprisingly, I have never heard any of the other singles on the radio, nor seen any music videos on tv of those singles. Not sure if there is any point to having another single if there is no radio or tv play.
Billie Hoe Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 So, if GD wants a new single, the band would probably choose 99 Revolutions just to somehow promote the tour of the same name. I think that the tour will be over before the next single comes out, so there won't be anything to promote... i think. But I think that either Dirty Rotten Bastards would be good or 99 Revolutions.
IlariaIDIOT Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 99 Revolution or Dirty Rotten Bastards or Missing You or Walk Away!
Neutral Milk Hotel Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Well, according to Nickelbackstylemusic, Missing You has already been a single. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GL8bbbD9bM0
theviridiansea Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I don't even know which songs from the trilogy were released as singles. None of them have gotten ANY radio play where I live (Toronto) despite the fact that the alternative rock station here plays tons of Green Day. I think Brutal Love would make a great single. It could be the trilogy equivallent of "21 Guns" or "WMUWSE". I don't count "The Forgotten" as their big radio ballad because didn't really go anywhere. But I think BL could do really well.
amdr182 Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I think 99 Revolutions is the more obvious song to become a single, since their current tour is called "99 Revolutions Tour". But for me, the next single should be Dirty Rotten Bastards. It is such an amazing song, I want them to play it live, it would sound awesome live.

For me even The Forgotten could be a very good single. The decision to include it in The Twilight soundtrack was wrong because this song was the finale of the trilogy, it wasn't a random trilogy song. It could be released as a second or third single. Plus it made many fans to dislike it just because included on the soundtrack of this film. I remember when it was released nearly everyone worshiped it, but when they learned that will be included on the soundtrack of Twilight even those who say good things hated it. Personally I love it. I might be the only one...
