Cath Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Which ones are singles already? X-Kid and The Forgotten (i think it is one)
porksoda Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 I don't get how 99 Revolutions is winning the poll so far. The song is horrible. Missing You is the obvious, and better choice. It would have been the perfect single if it wasn't 6 months too late.
whatsername Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Missing You. I think it will make a great single.
LazyPhil Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 I want a real video for X-Kid, it wasn't a single to me, didn't get any airplay
Jean Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Not 99 Revolutions. It's too repetitive and I'm already annoyed by it just from watching the live videos.
Red Lights Flash Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Isn't it kinda strange how we don't even know for sure what the singles are in this era? It's all over the place.
Hermione Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 X Kid as a proper single with a proper video would be nice. But otherwise Brutal Love! With some kind of weird theatrical vaudeville video. I don't get how 99 Revolutions is winning the poll so far. The song is horrible. I don't think it's horrible, but it is one of my least favourite songs on there, one of the least interesting. Definitely the least "Trilogy-like" song too, not a good song to represent the albums at all. As a single it'd just give the impression that they haven't moved on from AI and 21st CB.
belinda jane Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Brutal Love is my choice! Second would be Missing You, but I just love Brutal Love far too much
Hermione Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Just seen the poll, it would be better if all the songs were listed. Being conventionally radio friendly isn't the only criteria for being the "best" single choice. The result doesn't really mean anything without all the songs listed equally.
Shredder2 Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 MISSING YOOOU!!! i love that song and it sounds radio-friendly for such a single to be played on air
Todd Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Why aren't Brutal Love or DRB in the poll? Who made this?
Fuzz Posted June 20, 2013 Author Posted June 20, 2013 Why aren't Brutal Love or DRB in the poll? Who made this? Notice the "Other" option to include whatever you like.
Seth Bane Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 I would say 99 Revolutions. I would also like them to release more songs off of ¡Dos! Most of favorites are off of that album and we've only gotten one song so far.And wasn't there a contest for someone to get to come onset of the new Green Day music video? A music video that hasn't arrived yet? Haha
Ritz Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Missing You. No doubt about it. Its catchy, its radio friendly (Only one 'fuck' in the entire song xD) and its a crowd pleaser!
Jean Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 I'm still waiting for Fuck Time to be released as a single. (Hey if Fuck You by Cee Lo Green and Thrift Shop "walk up to the club like what up I got a big cock" can get radio play then why the hell not?)
Sanity Loan Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 I'm still waiting for Fuck Time to be released as a single. (Hey if Fuck You by Cee Lo Green and Thrift Shop "walk up to the club like what up I got a big cock" can get radio play then why the hell not?) Because people don't freak out over the lyrical content of hip-pop/rap music, for whatever reason. But as soon as a rock band says "faggot" or questions society (why the hell wouldn't it? F'd up....), people get all offended and up in arms.
petros Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 If Stray Heart didn't become a hit no song has any hope for me...
Malleus Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Because people don't freak out over the lyrical content of hip-pop/rap music, for whatever reason. Yeah, all of this is true, and it's silly to compare a song like Fuck Time to those songs. Thrift Shop has one line mentioning a dick and the single version of Fuck You is censored. Also if you think FWOOO Time would make a good single you are silllly.

And most don't know the difference between a single and their favorite song. Why aren't Brutal Love or DRB in the poll? Who made this? Me
Malleus Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 I didn't think you would Matt, and yeah that is unfortunately also true. Anyway, it was tough to choose between 99 Revolutions or Missing You, but I went with 99 Revolutions.
PleasedToMeetMe Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Am I the only one who thinks The Forgotten is one of Green Day's best? Should have been re-released as a proper single. Its much better than 21 Guns and to me is much more emotional and heartfelt than even WMUWSE. It really gets me everytime I hear it.
