Hermione Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 I find Will Ferrell and his films painfully unfunny. However that doesn't diminish the awesomeness of this at all . Oh god I hope it's true, I'll die watching them in it.

San Miguel Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 I find Will Ferrell and his films painfully unfunny. However that doesn't diminish the awesomeness of this at all . Oh god I hope it's true, I'll die watching them in it. Glad it's not just me. I love Elf but virtually everything else he has done didn't make me laugh. If Green Day are in it however, it will be awesome!
Hermione Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 You fangirl Hehe a so bad it's good cameo is even better than a good cameo in my book
Annie, get your gun Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 I didn't know what movie Anchorman was, but then I saw "will ferrell" there, so... I'd watch only the part with GD, 'cause I really don't like this actor, he's not funny to me... and I haven't watched the first one. Anyway, I hope the whole band will be there, 'cause that would be great!!!! And also a Jim Carrey's appearance, wooooo!!!
The Grohl Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 I'm trying to figure out how the band will fit in the movie. Let's see: the story will no doubt pick up where the last movie left off, which would be San Diego in the late 70s/early 80s, and all three of them have the cameo so I'm assuming they'll have them do something together... hmmmmm... well, they could be playing the part of a local hardcore band. Or maybe they won't do anything related to music at all and they'll be like the leaders of a street gang or something. I dunno; it's all speculation at this point, really. I feel the same way. I'm sitting here thinking when and where would they pop up? And if it's true I'm just like eh it's probably gonna be weird and out of place like most musician cameos are.
Jean Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 I've never seen the first one... but since I'm home alone right now and got nothing better to do, I guess I'll go watch it.
Neutral Milk Hotel Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Just pointing out, Wikipedia also has Jason White listed with the rest of the band. That would be really great for him if he appeared in this movie! I loved the first one
Mar Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Yknow how in math class you learned how to calculate just how many combinations can be made of a certain number of variables? Yeah, there's so many wonderful cameos and stars in this movie, there are so many brilliant possible combinations AND THEY ALL MAKE ME WANT TO FLING MYSELF OFF OF A BUILDING BECAUSE I WON'T BE ABLE TO HANDLE THEM OMG

grdyfn Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Oh My! I sure as hell hope that they cameo! Not only would that be fuckin' awesome as fuckin' fuck, but my anticipation to see this movie would spike to an unhealthy level that I would readily accept if it meant that they would be joining the Legend Ron Burgundy's return!
may10 Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 WHAT?! Oh my gosh I've been obsessing over this movie's comeback but now I'm 20x more excited Green Days gonna be on!!!! It's like missing my favorite movie with my favorite band a match made in heaven
DookieLukie Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Oh my God... Anchorman = one of the best movies ever. Green Day = one of the best brands ever. Anchorman + Green Day = Brands?? Ha, a Freudian slip at its best.
Heather. Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 I'm not a Will Ferrell fan at all but Anchorman is one of the few movies that made me keel over laughing, so I'm hopeful... though I'm sure this won't be as good. I still can't get over the scene where Baxter makes peace with the bears. Among many other one-liners
Jean Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 So I just watched Anchorman and tbh, I don't see what the big fuss is. Will Ferrell's funny and all, I just found the story to be lacking. I think my favourite Will Ferrell movie is Blades of Glory. The Night at the Roxbury too.
Mar Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 So I just watched Anchorman and tbh, I don't see what the big fuss is. Will Ferrell's funny and all, I just found the story to be lacking. I think my favourite Will Ferrell movie is Blades of Glory. The Night at the Roxbury too. In my eyes, Anchorman is a movie that is not great when you see it the first time, and then if you see it a second time you realize that it's supposed to be stupid as fuck and that's what makes it funny. When you see it the first time, you're expecting a comedy, yes, but like you said, you become disappointed by the lack of story and it's only upon repeat viewings that the nonsequiters just make you cackle. I'm curious if their scenes have been filmed yet or not. We've already seen a lot of the cameos (like Kanye's) so idk if this one was just hidden/missed or if it's just on the call sheet for a future day or whatever.
