Eduardo Pérez Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 You deserve to win, bro. It was AMAZING!!! I really loved the way you put each album's artwork (reminds me of the video of Last of the American Girls). However, the detail I loved the most was how the movements of the band's drawings fitted perfectly with the way the song is played. Thumbs up for Mike Dirnt's little bass solo!
Iain Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Folks, let me put it this way: This video should NEEDS TO WIN. I'm serious! It has the whole shibang: quirky references, good style, and excellent context. I can't see any reason why it shouldn't. I'm not a big fan of crowd-sourced contests, but if you had to vote for one, make it this video, it is the best entry I'm seeing, and that's saying a lot.
Mr. Shluffy Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 This is incredible, I will be stunned if this doesn't win. Congrats, dude
Mykee Mexx Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 There´s just one German word for this animation: "HAMMERGEIL!" It´s simply awesome!
lbw87 Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 sooo awesome!! great work!!! this has got to win for sure....
The Forgotten Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Fucking kickass. Holy shit it's a Green Day fans dream.
St. Christian Of Suburbia Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 That was incredible, I'm gonna be super disappointed if that doesn't win. Fantastic job.
angel green Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Absolutely amazing, blew my mind. Wow! Green Day would love it!!
Todd Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 75 Likes and only 2 posts? I'd love to see you do a video for a song off Dos and one off Tre, maybe Lazy Bones or Stray Heart and Missing You or X-Kid
Letterbomb44 Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Whether they win or not this video is obviously cool enough for gda the truest of green day fans! Great job I wanna see more of these I think a dirty rotten bastards one would be awesome. And anyone else imagine if green day were to actually reenact this video? I was laughing at the thought as it was funny

deletethisaccount Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Wow, this could pass as an official music video even!
Florence Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 OMG I just watched it! It's super awesome! I loved the Billie Joe explosion and the GD references! Now I'm relieved that I was too lazy to record something for the contest. Your entry will win for sure! ;__;
jordanguitar10 Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Amazing concept Love the incorporation of the artworks from the different albums Animation style is a little to cutesy though... hard to get past it
Jose Garcia Jr. Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 First of all I think this video is great, I really do. I just think it was wrong of GDA to post it on their main site. It is really unfair to the other contestants that didn't get instant views because their work wasn't put on GDA's main site. Especially when the hardest thing to do isn't the filmmaking, it's getting people to see it. It's one thing to post it on a GDA forum--which was very smart on the person's part--but it is another thing for GDA to post it on their front page for the entire Green Day family to see. One wouldn't even need to go on the forums. Honestly, I think GDA should have waited until after the contest to post it if they dug it so much. They basically endorsed this one. Just my opinion. You might think I'm bitter, well I am not. I just think a contest should be fair. That's all.
The Grouch is Tracy Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Way better than 3/4 of Green Day's official videos (90 percent of videos from the trilogy). Congratulations on a job well done!

I was thinking the same thing, its extremely unfair to the other contestants that this video gets all this promotion on green days biggest fan site where most of the people who will vote for the contest will go. i mean yes its an amazing video but this is kinda rigging the contest in a way.

Yeah but this video is so much better than anything else I've seen as an entry, I'm pretty sure we know it will win anyway. This was the only video that didn't make me cringe. I watched intently and loved it.

You might think I'm bitter, well I am not. I just think a contest should be fair. That's all. Let's get something pretty clear here: From what I know, the person who won the last GD talenthouse competition is part of another Green Day fan site, so of course, when their entry went up, the following of that fansite voted for them. Now, tell me how is that fair? It's simple: it isn't. This is the problem with crowdsourcing material: you could put all the effort you have in something great, but it can very easily be overshadowed by someone else's work (which could potentially be made with less effort) and could easily lose out. All art is subjective as well as situations like this being potential popularity contests. I'm glad GDA is highlighting this video. I'm not saying no one else's videos were good, but this was brilliantly original, has a creative niche and also it's something every fan can relate to as it's full of GD references for fans of old and new music. If there's any video that deserves to win, it's this one, and I'll be damned if it were to lose over another entry for the sake of popularity within the community. What GDA is doing isn't wrong. It's promoting a very, very, VERY strong entry that frankly, I think it should be seen as many fans as possible as it was made by a fan. It opens creative ideas and gives possibilities over what fans can do with their own creative talents.
