suziii Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 An angry fan was annoyed they only played one UK show?? If anything, I think it's a compliment to the UK- theyre clearly saving a special UK tour up, seperate from their European tour and I cant fucking wait!
tammy_cool Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 That 60,000 capacity is for a Football match. As a concert venue the capacity is different because there are people on the pitch and one end of the stadium is not used because its behind the stage. I would of thought that the capacity would be around about the same, since all of the people who would of been sitting at the clock end (behind the stage) were on the pitch. Or I could just be being really dumb lol
Alan86 Posted June 3, 2013 Author Posted June 3, 2013 I would of thought that the capacity would be around about the same, since all of the people who would of been sitting at the clock end (behind the stage) were on the pitch. Or I could just be being really dumb lol I think youd fit more people on the pitch than you would into the clock end of the stadium. Well they must have fitted more on to the pitch anyway since mike said they set a new record attendance at the stadium
DorsetGirl Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 I'd love to know the actual attendance figures - I searched the arsenal site but couldn't find anything. I can't see how that bloke thinks he's got the right to get nasty and start threatening never to buy any more CDs! Mike was far nicer to him than he deserved, but I think there's no excuse for being so rude.
Beccy Wood Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Yay!!! Can't wait for Green Day UK tour!! Saw them at wembley Stadium 2010 and emirates 2013 - both amazing and unbelievable!!!
mechanicalman Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 One and a half pages and no jokes about Arsenal fans yet, what is this?
Hermione Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Can't help but laugh at "Amazing" in inverted commas as if it's sarcastic or something . But a very sweet message! Yay for a UK tour (regardless of when it is) and yay for Mike still saying Awesome As Fuck
Forever Now Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Yeah, crew is awesome. They threw guitar picks and anything that is left over from a show, that's always cool!
Flyingdonutz Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 I think, with the amount of room you have on a soccer field and in the seats, that there very well could have been 70 thousand people there. Either way, that's a shit load of people in one of their biggest gigs to date. When we're trying to figure out if this was their biggest gig and there was over 60 thousand people there, you know it's a big band.
burnout409 Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 I think they should come and play Milton Keynes again...that's only like a 25 minute drive from where I live I agree!
Jon Benjamin Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 You're right, they must have done. That's pretty amazing, actually, considering that both Coldplay and Muse have recently had far better marketing and exposure in UK than Green Day. They're a formidable force, it seems. I love them even more for it.I would've sold the ticket, green day>muse any day
musso_kn Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 I would've sold the ticket, green day>muse any day Up until recently, I was a big Muse fan. Recently I've just gone off them: I find their music emotionally unsatisfying and soulless in places, and their live shows seem really gimmicky.
Slave To The Network Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 I saw this! It was so sweet of him! I love how much he cares about the crew and the fans.
