SEAtacticsFTW Posted May 31, 2013 Author Posted May 31, 2013 But I mean, Webster Hall they played Loss of Control, Makeout Party, and judging by the setlist...the almighty, holy of holies, Dirty Rotten Bastards. Fucking Webster Hall, man. I wish we could get peformances of those songs. Makeout Party should have been a single in my eyes.

deadair Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Red 7 didn't really have any songs that they don't normally play live. But any of those 2011 shows would be awesome. I'd still buy it for Amanda and the cover song that Lady Cobra came out and sang with them.
SEAtacticsFTW Posted June 1, 2013 Author Posted June 1, 2013 I'd still buy it for Amanda and the cover song that Lady Cobra came out and sang with them. What song was it? I never knew she came out and performed with them. I think they maybe should have put that in the Doc.
Malleus Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 If Green Day released another live album, I'd probably just download it. I mean I love the trilogy, but three live albums is too much.
deadair Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 What song was it? I never knew she came out and performed with them. I think they maybe should have put that in the Doc. I think it was their cover of Hybrid Moments by Misfits. There was a little footage of it in a trailer for one of the trilogy albums. She came out, jokingly pushed Billie to the ground, and sang with them into his mic.

I don't think they will come out with 3 Live albums. That would be way too much. I think the the standard Blu-ray/CD will come out. I think they won't call it Cinco. I think it will be more geared to having fun and will have rare songs on it, more so than AAF.

If this happens, they could add around 7-8 songs from the trilogy and the rest would be some classic songs not included on BIAB/AAF like: Nice guys Finish last, Waiting, Welcome to Paradise (I mean on CD), Jaded. Plus 3 or 4 songs included on the previous 2 live CD/DVD albums: Basket Case, American Idiot, Hitchin' a ride, Time of your life, etc.
The Grohl Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 I can see them doing a live album for this tour. Might be release next year though.
Certified Nimrod Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 I wish there was some sort of system where you could get that soundboard audio. Like $15 and you have a live album or $5 if you have your ticket number. Something like that That'd be awesome. A lot of bands do that (Linkin Park, Metallica, and Incubus to name a few), so I don't see why Green Day doesn't. I think it was their cover of Hybrid Moments by Misfits. There was a little footage of it in a trailer for one of the trilogy albums. She came out, jokingly pushed Billie to the ground, and sang with them into his mic. I was wondering who it was that pushed him!
Iva Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 2005 live album was a combo of two shows with more or less the same setlist. Next year is the 20th anniversary of Dookie. I draw my own conclusions from that. We're allowed to dream, after all.
naliuj Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 That's what I thought. The tracklist for Tre should have been Uno's. The Trilogy probably would have gone much better that way. And the fact that they rushed Tré's release. They released it earlier because of Billie going to rehab but if they had kept the original date the album would probably have done much better in sales.

Considering there was little in the way of advertisement anyway I don't think that mattered.
naliuj Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Considering there was little in the way of advertisement anyway I don't think that mattered. True but they still rushed the release. In fact if they waited longer between each album in the trilogy i think all the albums would have done so much better. The albums werent really bought much by people outside of the Green Day fanbase. Thats where the poor promotion of the albums came in.

The trilogy is a album that is for the fans not really aimed at new ones Releasing so many albums in so short of time is always a high risk thats why not alot of bands/labels do it

Its kind of like Warning. There are fans that like it but its relativly unknown outside the fanbase.
Iva Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 Maybe in USA. Minority, Warning and Waiting were in heavy rotation all around Europe in 2000-2001.
PleasedToMeetMe Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 Warning was everywhere when it was released. MTV played the shit out of Minority and Warning, they had that 'First Listen' thing and they did the 'Live Without Warning' concert. It was kind of like 'Green Day's back!' but then everyone was like 'oh man. this isn't what I was expecting' hence why they ended up releasing a greatest hits album like a year later. By that time everyone was like 'Green Day?? They are WASHED UP!' Fuck, even The Donna's were more popular than Green Day at one point and that was just weird.
