Yeah, but then we'd just get the same old songs to fill out the live album that they've included on 2 other live albums already... I don't think that'll make for good sales to be honest with you.

They have released numerous live ep with the same tracks but live albums arent concerned with high numbers they are cheap for the label to produce to where a live album would only need to sell 50k copies to make back the investment where as a studio album needs to sell between 1-3 million copies to make back the investment

I wish they'd release a live DVD of 1-2-3-4 Go, Tiki Bar, and Webster Hall :(

If they recorded Dookie in Serbia for a live DVD would they of had to have posters up telling the audience they were being recorded? I went to a script concert once where they were filming and live streaming and they had posters up at the entrances saying if you cross the threshold you are consenting to being filmed. Not sure whether this was just a UK law though? :ermm:

It's part of the ticket buying agreement

This would be amazing and I would cry if it happened. :woot: I want to see another live film so bad! I want it to be different from Awesome As Fuck, though. Of course that's a great one, but I wish they would have included performances from a variety of different shows rather than just all from one concert. It could be like you're actually following Green Day on their tour from one concert to the next in a bunch of different countries. That would be much more interesting and exciting! :D

I think Awesome as Fuck was recorded from 2 shows. I remember them recording 2 shows so they can the best footage. Which they did record Redundant, but it didn't get to be on the Blu-ray. Shame I wish it was.

Red 7 would be killer too

I thought that was Bullet in a Bible

They did that for BIAB to, but I remember reading a article saying AAF was recorded the same way. It is also on Wiki to.

Red 7 didn't really have any songs that they don't normally play live. But any of those 2011 shows would be awesome.

It would have been seen if thr Trilogy went well. I firmly believe they would have released it.

They still could...

Again live albums/dvd are cheap for labels to release

And they have been sitting on it for a couple years

The Trilogy didn't go particularily poorly. I would still say the majoriy of Green Day's fans enjoyed the trilogy. I enjoyed it. But I certainly didn't fall in love with it. They're a fun to listen to, but they aren't really Green Day quality. They aren't doing as bad as Warning did, that's for sure.

Sales wise its worse than Warning

Are you sure? They've all gone gold, and UNO sold 156 thousand in the first week. That's pretty rough if they're doing worse than Warning. Hopefully they come back with something better than just "good" for next time.

I thought Tre did, but the others I don't think they did worse than Watning. Both Uno and Warning went Number 2 on release then dropped off almost instantly.

That's what I thought. The tracklist for Tre should have been Uno's. The Trilogy probably would have gone much better that way.

I always look on sales of trilogy together not for only one of them. It seems natural to me, yeah there are people who bought all albums but I don't know it's unfair to look only albums sales of one album cause they are all written at same time... I don't know

None of them have gone Gold. Uno is the closest but I still don't think it sold 500,000 copies.

If you count them as 1 and add it up they are ok numbers but the label and RIAA arent viewing them as one album but 3 seperate albums

Yep!

Every show is recorded for archiving purposes. Full audio, some video.

Any idea what is done with said recordings that aren't used?

EDIT: Dumb question, never mind.

A little off topic. but yeah. I think Robert Kirkman did right. I hate how people complained about it. Uhhhh yeah so Green Day hopefully will peform a couple stuff for a live record. YES on topic.

haha

sorry guys, i just never can find another fan... anyway...

I really hope they do like their entire catologe live, and each album could be a new disk... or just uno dos tre dookie and american idiot (come on warning, green day has to play misery live once and i will die happy

Yeah, cause they play Hybrid Moments, Stop Drop and Roll, Wow! That's Loud, Amy, and Amanda all the time.

But I mean, Webster Hall they played Loss of Control, Makeout Party, and judging by the setlist...the almighty, holy of holies, Dirty Rotten Bastards. Fucking Webster Hall, man.
