Insomniac45 Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Nimrod. I'd give anything to hear Uptight, Worry Rock, Jinx/Haushinka etc. live. AND WALKING ALONE. HOW DID I FORGET THAT ONE
LazyPhil Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 ALL. OF. THEM. Starting with Sweet Children all the way through Tre! Edit : That would be a hell of a long show
Slave To The Network Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Thats cool I just put the link if you wanted to hear the show thats all Okay, thanks!
Mr. Shluffy Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Insomniac would definitely be the album I would love to hear them play from back to front. After that I would love to hear them play American Idiot and/or 21st Century Breakdown just so I could hear Homecoming and other various songs from those albums live
disappearing_boy_39 Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 I'd pick the trilogy if it included all three albums. This is because there are so many great songs on these albums that they haven't been playing live (Fell For You, Lazy Bones, 8th Avenue Serenade, etc). I was almost positive that they were going to include Dirty Rotten Bastards in the set. The internet allows us to see the band perform older songs in concert, on talk shows, etc. But there's been a lack of TV performances in support of the trilogy and it's too bad. I was looking forward to some new TV appearances, especially on SNL & David Letterman. If I couldn't choose all three albums as a whole, then I'd probably pick 1,039... or Kerplunk for nostalgic reasons.
C.H. Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Kerplunk... I would die from a heart attack if I hear No One Knows live!
♡♡♡ Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 probably Kerplunk, becuase there're many songs I love and One of My Lies is there and 80 and No One Knows than also I wouldn't mind if Dookie was played on the show because of Having a Blast, Pulling Teeth and In The End (and what about 1,039 with 1,000 Hours and Paper Lanterns ooh I have too many wishes I know. I guess I'm more of an old Green Day songs fan)

It would be cool to see some more TV performances.
Blond-O-Sonic Shimmer Trap Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Still Dookie. Truly jealous of everyone who saw that the other night! Especially since Having A Blast is probably my favourite Green Day song and that's the only time they've played it in the last 20 years, but also because if I was to do a list of my favourite Green Day songs then Dookie would feature the most.
tunisia wants greenday Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 American Idiot, always American idiot <33
Cath Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 OMG they played dookie in its entirely!!?? Yesterday?? lol hello where we're you? Nimrod. I'd give anything to hear Uptight, Worry Rock, Jinx/Haushinka etc. live. AND WALKING ALONE. HOW DID I FORGET THAT ONE Nimrod is just perfect. that would be insane front to back. all the ones you named i can't imagine hearing them live. and Reject, and Scattered too (my fav GD song ) plus Good Riddance is popular but it's seriously a song i love a looooot and i've never seen it live. and the Grouch holy shit. yes my choice is made it's Nimrod i'd choose first.
Overjoyyed Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 lol hello where we're you? Lmfao this was the first thread I went on GDC yesterday.. I caught up quite quickly.. damn I'm still so happy about it
Flyingdonutz Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Can people explain why they want to hear AI in its entirety? Like seriously. We always hear literally half the album every show of every tour. AI, JOS, Holiday, BOBD, St. Jimmy, Letterbomb, and WMUWSE are regulars on the setlist, and sometimes they sprinkle in stuff like Are We the Waiting, Homecoming, and Give me Novocaine. That's basically the whole album right there. If you've ever been to more than one show since AI came out, chances are you've heard everything on it. Because it's American Idiot, thats why. That's like asking why I listen to American Idiot in its entirety when I have half of the album in my playlist. Because listening to them play it live, front to back, would be an unbelievable feeling. I get goosebumps to this DAY when Homecoming starts, and I have been listening to that album for 10 years. I'd freak out if it were played live. It may be a total cliche.. but it's just the fact that American Idiot is a story and it would be awesome to listen to them tell it live.
